Zarch is next for the Vital Villa interview.

1) When did you become a Villa fan and why?

I actually became a fan around the beginning of the MON reign. I made a conscious decision as a youngster not to follow the pack and decide who i wanted to support when i could watch the games. It was only until 2007 that I discovered online streams then eventually moved onto satellite (cable) when I could afford it. Anyway I picked Villa after reading about its history and quickly became a fan of a certain John Carew that I became hooked. I`ve never regretted it.

2) Paul Lambert? Your opinion please?

Any man that can take a league 1 team to consecutive promotions has my vote. He instilled a sense of pride at Norwich which is something we desperately need. I think Lerner`s got it right with this appointment. Time will tell though.

3) Best and worst moments of last season?

Chelsea win. That was great! and just what we needed. Worst - That Bolton Home defeat. I was actually scared that we`d be relegated. Days at work following that defeat were terrible.

4) Your opinion of Randy Lerner and the board, can a decent season next season make up for last season?

I`ve always maintained that Randy`s lack of funds has always come from a greater desire to not waste his hard earned cash. Last season was the proof he needed to realise that not spending could actually cost him more than what he would save. Ultimately though I`m still behind him. He put in the cash he got nothing in return (silverware) from MON or the players.

5) Which player/s should Villa sign this summer?

This is tough - from a realistic point of view I`d like to see some some of the big 4`s want aways. If Lerner still wants bosmans then Jose Bosingwa would be a great pick up. The Mirror says that Nani might leave. If Randy put in a decent bid I`d be well impressed.

6) Which player/s should Villa get rid of this summer?

This is a little easier - Want Hutton gone. I feel that he is championship quality on a good day. Probably time Delph moved on too. the guy is too injury prone.

7) Favourite current player?

its a tie between Lichaj and Herd. Purely for the effort both put in this season.

8) Favourite all time player/s?

John Carew. I know there have been better but in my time of following JC has always been great to watch.

9) What do you expect us to do/finish this season assuming a decent transfer window with £25m or so spent?

Premier: like to see us back in the top half. I`d be very happy with a Europa entry.
As for the cups I won`t put a round in because it really is a luck of the draw thing these days isn`t it? I`ll leave it with I`ll be satisfied with whatever as long as we don`t get embarrassed by a team in a lower league or a team in poor form.

10) You can ask yourself any question you want to about Villa and what is your answer?

Will Villa reach the Champions League? Yes... eventually

a) which celebrity/s would you most like to meet and why? Dave Grohl - Always admired his music and I think he`d just be a top bloke to hang out with.

b) age 31

c) location Location: Perth, Australia

d) Favourite alcoholic drink: straight Jack Daniels Single Barrel on ice

e) Favourite non-alcoholic drink:Big fan of Orange Juice

f) Favourite Film: Star Wars and Lord Of The Rings (GEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK!)

g) Favourite TV Show: Storage wars is always interesting. Don`t know if its on in the UK but there`s a show that just started here called full metal jousting which I`m enjoying.

h) Music?: I enjoy all types of music. I grew up on a mix of Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Metallica, 2pac, Snoop Dogg and many more!

i) Best ever moment in your life: Proposing to my fiancé. She said yes! Did it at the spot of our first date. Not very original I know but she loved it.

j) Ambitions: Destroy the mortgage so i can live an easier life. the way we`re going we`ll be mortgage free within 5 years

k) Wise words: Problems never get solved by placing the blame. Not sure what office life in other countries is like but if it`s anything like OZ you`ll know what i mean.

Interesting to see that so many fans are rewarding 'effort' when it comes to favoured players after last season, when generally it's the more flashy players that get the attention. Speaks volumes about the games last year I think.
