Vital Villa Summer Interview: Munk AVFC

Munk AVFC steps up for the Vital Villa members interviews.

Q: When did you become a Villa fan and why?

When I was around 6, no one in my family really followed football but my sisters boyfriend was a Villan and took me to my first match and I've been hooked ever since.

Q: The season just gone, good bad or ugly? What did you think of it?

Good, beating United away sent me bananas lol and I rarely felt like we were going to lose, still in the area of where we wanted to be, still 6th but better points, solid defense for the main part, which I didn't think I'd say with how our defense was before Dunne, Collins and Warnock arrived. Good domestic cup runs to boot, so whilst it wasn't all rosy, I'd def plump for good over the other 2.

Q: Best and worst moment of last season?

Best :- Man Utd away, I won a packet at the bookies, won a load of drinks in the pub and was literally bouncing around the pub =) Top Drawer!!!
Worst: I'm ignoring the worst, it is obvious and most have mentioned it already!

Q: James Milner... is he off do you think? If so, what price (realistically) should Villa hold out for? If off to Man City, which - if any - of their players would you want in exchange?

Well if anyone offers 30million or equivalent he'll be gone, and I'd live with that, at the end of the day we need to be able to start making profits on players to help subsidize growth, we've plenty great prospects and hopefully Delph will get some time on the pitch next year, as for exchange the consensus says Ireland which is fine with me...

Q: What signings (type of player or specific name/s if you wish) would you like to see Villa buy this summer?

I'd like to see those players we have who no longer want to be here/MON doesn't want here replaced with players who are willing to fight for the right to play for us plus maybe an extra forward, if I'd have to pick a name I'd say Rodallega, someone who isn't afraid to shoot and can cause some upsets. We've got the 'target men' in Heskey and big JC and pace in Gab and Delfouneso and I think he could offer something different, people will say get Bent but I think that ship has sailed without blowing all the Milner money trying to get him.

Q: Where do you stand on Martin O'Neill (I don't mean literally, that would be assault) ?

He's not the Messiah, he's a very naughty boy....oh wait no he is the Messiah.... all hail MON hehe

Q: Your opinion of Randy and the board?

Truly remarkable =) With all the trouble others have had, we are lucky to have them, not putting in silly money, but they seem to know what they are doing and are going about doing quietly.

Q: Favourite current player and favourite all time player/s

Current :- Gabby, a few tweaks and he could be magic, plus I love the fact that he always looks confused.
All-time :- God then followed by Bozzie....

Q: Do you expect progress next season, difficult to answer before the transfer window closes I know?

How do we define progress? More points again? Finishing higher than 6th? Winning a cup? Say its any one of them without dropping to far in the other 2 categories, then I'd not expect it, but I'd not be surprised if we did either. Will boil down to injuries, transfers and how other teams around us develop or stall.

Q: Right, lets lower the tone... which celebrity would you most like to bang and which (male I would think) celeb would you most like to thump!?!

Scarlett Johansson, or Christina Ricci depending on my mood lol as for thumping....hmmm Phil Dowd? Also for no real reason Vernon Kay...

JF Apologies if I've messed spelling or anything up, broke me right hand so typed it out left handed lol
