Vital Villa Summer Interview: Simon Bird

Vital Villa Summer Interview: Simon Bird

Simon Bird steps up for the Vital Villa members interviews.

Q: When did you become a Villa fan and why?

I can't actually remember but its probably because some of the family did, plus I'm from Birmingham and I'm not going to support the other lot.

Q: The season just gone, good bad or ugly? What did you think of it?

GOOD! Two good performances at Wembley against the biggest teams in the prem and 4th place was in our reach for most of the season.

Q: Best and worst moment of last season?

best moment - semi final Blackburn Rovers and running on the pitch
worst moment - waiting for Milner to put away the pen on the last Villa Blues match, too much tension!

Q: James Milner... is he off do you think? If so, what price (realistically) should Villa hold out for? If off to Man City, which - if any - of their players would you want in exchange?

none of the clubs will stop bidding for him especially Man City so i reckon he we but we should get 10 mill + either Craig Bellamy or Shaun Wright Phillips

Q: What signings (type of player or specific name/s if you wish) would you like to see Villa buy this summer?

hopefully a few big names to replace Ashley Young and James Milner if they go and a top quality striker.

Q: Where do you stand on Martin O'Neill (I don't mean literally, that would be assault) ?

3 words - THE SPECIAL ONE!

Q: Your opinion of Randy and the board?

good job, he gives MON the money that's needed but doesn't go overboard like Man City

Q: Favourite current player and favourite all time player/s

James Milner, never stops working, can play anywhere MON wants to put him and has had a huge impact on the Villa.

Q: Do you expect progress next season, difficult to answer before the transfer window closes I know?

I think we should be tighter on the fourth place race with our new signings. with Martin O'Neil as manager we can do it.

Q: Right, lets lower the tone... which celebrity would you most like to bang and which (male I would think) celeb would you most like to thump!?!

Katy Perry, how Russell Brand has got her I don't know!
+ to thump would be Loui Spence, that one off pineapple dance studios.

With thanks to Simon Bird
