Vital Villan Mid Season Interview: sazavfc

Vital Villan Mid Season Interview: sazavfc
sazavfc is the next up for our mid season interview series:

1) When did you become a Villa fan and why?

My dad has always been a massive villa fan, and he bought me a villa shirt when i was like 2 years old. Since then ive been claret and blue through and through.

2) What do you think of this season, do we have the chance to push on or will we slip up like last season?

Well, put it this way...we need to spend this transfer window. However, if we don't spend, I don't think we will slip up like last year - well not as badly as last year. We've got more depth this year and I think that we will become very inconsistent nearer the end of January. That is if we don't strengthen this window.

3) Best moment/s of this season so far?

I would love to say the win at Anfield ( because it was on my birthday), I would love to say the Chelsea win or the Old Trafford win. HOWEVER, i just can't not say the blues win. Specially cos it was late on and Gabby's head done it AGAIN. It has to be that for me, personally.

4) Worst moment/moments of this season so far?

The Liverpool defeat at home. So late on, against a team that we will be fighting right to the end. 3 points would have been a massive boost. We need a Fernando Torres...unfortunately, Liverpool already have theirs.

5) Do you expect any arrivals this January (bearing in mind MON has indicated not) and IF you could bring in a player or two, who (realistically) would you go for?

I don't expect any arrivals, even thought we really do need some. If i was the boss, Id take a good look at Edin Dzeko. Decent target man, to help gabby and the wingers, and he will score you goals. Some may say that he will go a better team...but we've got to be ambitious now right? Miguel Veloso might also be a good shout.

6) Which player/s should Villa sign this summer? And do you think Villa will spend enough this summer to progress?

I think we will spend a hell of a lot more in the summer than January. I doubt we spend ANYTHING in January! We really need another striker, and central midfielder. Put ANY Villa player in Torres's position when he scored against us in the last second. Not one of our players would have buried that. We need someone who can pop up and score from anyway. A player that can win games outta nowhere. We need some magic in the midfield. Arsenal have Cesc Fabregas in the middle of the park. He demolished us single handedly. We need some magic!

7) If we made the Carling Cup final, who would you most like to face Manchester United or Manchester City?

I would love to say, 'We beat Manchester United at Wembley to win the Carling Cup'. But come on you know what I'm gonna say next! I want Manchester City. I want Stan Petrov to lift that trophy in front of Barry's face! That would be the MOMENT OF OUR SEASON! Barry's face if we beat him in the

8) What do you expect us to do/finish this season?

Premier League: 6th, and I wouldn't be too disappointed to be honest.
FA Cup: Semi-finals. We are gonna have a good run this year. The draw has served us well so far and MON is gonna take it more serious than ever. Id be happy to reach the semis.
Carling Cup: All the way. We are gonna win it! Its always been our trophy and we gonna take it back!

9) Your opinion on Martin O'Neill now he is mid way through his 4th season in charge?

I think he's done a terrific job. Some poor decisions, but he's only human. Considering we were fighting to stay in the league the year before he came, he's done outstanding. I can't thank him enough.

10) Your opinion on Randy Lerner and his board?

The stadium and the training facilities have improved massively since Mr. Lerner has come. He's spent quite a bit since he's come too. However, I don't actually believe that right now, the money is there. Whether he's been hit by the recession or because of his Cleveland Browns...but i just don't think we have as much money as we think we have.

11) Favourite current player?

Daym this is a toughie. I love Milner, Guzan, Carew, Bouma, Collins and Davies. Those are my favourites. But my ultimate current favourite is the skipper. Stan the man Petrov. He's indispenable to our squad, and I just wished that everyone else realised that.

12) Favourite former player/s?

Phew, where to start!? Mellberg, Hitzlsperger, Delaney, Withe, Mortimer and Cowans. They are all great. But my ultimate favourite is joint, with Paul McGrath and Martin Laursen!

13) Right, lets lower the tone... which celebrity would you most like to bang and which would you most like to thump!?!

Personally in the current first choice 11 Petrov is the weak link . Delph being a far better player than Petrov . Takes all sort I suppose , we all see different things and have different favourites, sometimes resulting in seeing different things . I know what I mean anyway!

Is it just me or is there a pattern emerging here where Villa fans are expressing their desires to physically harm lasses of the fairer sex (albeit rather annoying ones)? First Jordan, now Cole???!!! You'll get the site blacklisted if you ain't careful Fear!!!! Either that or donations from Sean Connery!
