Silence Is Not Golden
Vital Villa asked, following an article by Stennyvilla Turn the music off and sing , whether we should blast the music loud or whether we should turn the music off and create our own atmosphere.

Think the answer is pretty much no with 50% saying it was a stupid idea, 4% saying they wanted loud music and 1% saying it wouldn't catch on.

That left 2% unsure, 28% thinking it was worth a trial and just 15% thinking it was a great idea.

Our latest poll is asking which is your favourite chant.

Yup, looks like we are all going stir crazy with the lack of Villa football. :-(

we all know the atmosphere down at B6 could be better...the most predominant songs are anti small heath.....in my opinion we should be more pro VILLA......as an ex singing HOLTE ENDER from the days when the HOLTE was standing and who now sits in the TRINTY ROAD upper what we need is the HOLTE END youth to be a bit original......it only needs a few people to start things off...if the songs are catchy enough the rest will join in.....in one of the best stadiums in the land we should make it more intimidating.....HOLTE END HOLTE END give us song HOLTE END give us a song......KEEP THE FAITH.....

I think that WHEN the results come good the crowd will be more involved. All the managers since Big Ron have tried to get us to create a more hostile enviroment for away fans, so its not going to be a quick fix.

Admittedly we are far from the most vociferous or hostile (noise wise) supporters when on home territory, yet when on our travels we rarely fail to rise to the occasion. I really dont know the reasons why, nor do I have any suggestions as to the answer, so credit to Stennyvilla for at least trying to come up with something. Hopefully the time is not too far away when Villa Park will be rocking again on a regular basis, but apart from witnessing a winning team playing exciting, attacking football on a consistent basis, I struggle to offer a solution.
