Cult Hero Poll Results

Cult Hero Poll Results
Not the best thought out poll in the world as the debate has mainly been what is a cult hero and also, where is Ian Taylor in the list. Ho hum, the results of the poll (asked by agentprovocateur) for Villa's all time cult heroes are as follows:

Peter Withe 29%
Sid Cowans 25%
Andy Gray 19%
Dennis Mortimer 12%
Brian Little 10%
Alan McInally 5%

So who are your cult heroes? And what is a cult hero to you?

Our latest poll asks if you would like Craig Bellamy from Liverpool

Sid and andy Gray were top players, how did they get more votes than Dennis Mortimer? And where is Chico Hamilton and Ray Graydon in this? Not to mention Andy Lockhead.

Surely a cult is something that the mainstream doesn't recognise as being good but has a cult underground following. Like a film or TV program that flops commercially but is kept alive by a small group of fans. Someone like Ian Taylor would possibly fit that description. He wasn't a bnig fancy, headline grabbing name but we all loved him becasue we knew he was one of us and would fight til the last second for the cause. My vote would have gone to IT. (Iam Taylor not Information Technology - obvioulsy!)

Tony Hateley, Bruce Rioch, Andy Lochead, Chris Nicholl, Johnny Gidman, Alex Cropley, Peter Withe. All personal favourites of mine who surely enter the cult hero status?
