Vital Villan Interviews: Cambridgeshire Villan
It is Cambridgeshire Villan's turn on the Vital Villan Interviews..

1 - How long have you been a Villa fan and how did you first get the Claret & Blue faith?

Since the very early 90's, all my mates seemed to support Liverpool, Man Utd or Arsenal & my dad was never into football apart from the world cup. So I went with Villa as I liked what I saw and the rest is now history.

2 - What was your first game?

My uncle (a blades supporter) took me to Bramall Lane in 94 to see Villa beat Sheffield United with I believe Graham Fenton scoring his first league goal.

3 - What is your most memorable moment as a Villa fan?

The league cup victory over united in 94, all I can remember hearing at school was treble this & treble that from united supporters. Everyone just expected united to win, I even had a Liverpool supporting mate come round to watch the game & he couldn't wait to see us get a hiding. It just didn't happen & what a great cup run with the semis against Tranmere as well.

4 - And the worst moment?

That throw in back to that keeper, still have nightmares.

5 - Who are your favourite current Villa players?

Laursen he seems to get his head on everything.

6 - Which former player/s are your ultimate heroes?

cgrath, Saunders, Mellberg & will always have a soft spot for JPA.

7 - Which player do you think was the worst to ever put on the team colours?

Djemba twins, why did we sign him! Seemed a very desperate buy to me at the time.

8 - What is the best goal you have seen Villa score and which is your favourite game?

Dalian Atkinsons against the Don's & Cahill's stunner against the Blues.

9 - Best away ground visited?

I'd say Old Trafford, & I'm gonna say Julius Martins Lane as know one will have a clue who plays there & Villa never have been there but its where my home towns team play.

10 - Who would you like to see Villa sign this summer?

Looks like it's gonna happen anyway, but I'll say Milner. [has now happened, so good for you! JF]

11 - What are your predictions for us this season in the:

a) League
3rd - ever the optimist
b) Europe semis
c) Carling Cup winners
d) FA Cup we'll be lucky & wont get Man Utd until the quarter finals.

12 - What is your opinion of Martin O'Neill?

Can't fault him yet & don't want to. I have absolute confidence in the guy.

13 - What is your opinion of Randy Lerner and the new board?

Job very well done so far, keep it going. Probably the best owner in the league at present.

14 - Where do you sit at Villa and are you a season ticket holder?

Not a season ticket holder I have a baby & a mortgage (& a wife!), but I usually sit in the Trinity Upper.

15 - And finally if you could invite 4 people connected to Villa, living or dead, to a dinner party, who would they be? And you can add one bit of top totty as well to make the party go with a 'bang' ;o)

John Gregory, Paul Mcgrath, Big Ron & Gareth Barry's agent + my wife.

With thanks to Cambridgeshire Villan

Looks like a highly successful season ahead if your predictions come to fruition Cambridgeshire Villan, and I certainly hope they do. Agree with you on James Milner being a very important key signing. Great work by MON to land him. Good responses, enjoyable read.

I too share your nightmares about that throw in that...oh, lets forget it. I doubt that Villans will ever forget that heart-stopping (for all the wrong reasons) moment. How on earth did it/could it happen? Against that lot too!
