Vital Villan Interviews: attila11101
It is attila11101 turn on the Vital Villan Interviews..

1 - How long have you been a Villa fan and how did you first get the Claret & Blue faith?

I have been a fan for just a shade over 2 years now. A favorite sportswriter of mine wrote an article (www.sports.espn.go.com > Click Here) saying he was going to randomly pick a Premier League team to be a fan of. It sounded like a good plan to me so I did. Why did I pick Aston Villa? No reason really; I liked the name and loved the team colors. (I know of no professional or college team that wears claret and blue in the US. It`s a shame; it looks nice!)

2 - What was your first game?

Since I live in the US, I have never been to a live Villa game. I religiously followed Villa for over a year and a half before I even got to see them play a game on tv. As luck would have it, it was a pretty good game. I found a buddy who got the Fox Soccer channel and had him tape the game. It was last year`s boxing day game vs Chelsea.

3 - What is your most memorable moment as a Villa fan?

Logging on to the Internet last year and finding out we beat Blackburn 4-0. It doesn`t sound like much, but it was great telling the only other Villa fan I know about the game after he said he expected a 1-0 loss and 2 of our starters to be injured. Actually, its quite amazing that I actually know someone in town who is from Birmingham…and a life-long Villa fan. (Note: I live in a town in Oklahoma with a population of ~20,000.)

4 - And the worst moment?

Logging on to the Internet to learn that Carson had conceded an injury time goal to Arsenal that cost us 2 points and started a precipitous drop in Villa performance.

5 - Who are your favourite current Villa players?

efore this summer, Barry without a doubt.

6 - Which former player/s are your ultimate heroes?

I`ve only heard stories…

b>7 - Which player do you think was the worst to ever put on the team colours?

8 - What is the best goal you have seen Villa score and which is your favourite game?

Barry`s penalty vs Chelsea last year. Cool as ice. I`m still shocked we were given a penalty vs Chelsea that late in the game. I though Abramovich owned the refs?!?

9 - Best away ground visited?

That would be the home of my friend with Fox Soccer channel.

10 - Who would you like to see Villa sign this summer?

right winger who scares defenders as much as Ashley Young does.

11 - What are your predictions for us this season in the:

) League
7th

b>b) Europe I have no idea.

b>c) Carling Cup Early exit. I don't think it matters as much to most managers, including MON

b>d) FA Cup Quarterfinal loss to one of the Big 4.

12 - What is your opinion of Martin O'Neill?

ood manager. The kinda guy that I would want to play for. He may not be a high-roller in the transfer market, but he does seem to work hard at it.

13 - What is your opinion of Randy Lerner and the new board?

I don`t really care as long as he can sign checks.

14 - Where do you sit at Villa and are you a season ticket holder?

On the couch.

15 - And finally if you could invite 4 people connected to Villa, living or dead, to a dinner party, who would they be? And you can add one bit of top totty as well to make the party go with a 'bang' ;o)

Milner, Joe Cole, Podolski, Huntelaar…We`re going to have a little heart to heart on why joining Villa is in their best interests.

With thanks to attila11101

Intresting read Attila11101 and i'm gald you chose the right team to support unlike that T.W.A.T of a reporter you read. Quote Bill Simmons "Aston Villa -- By all accounts, they have the most miserable, self-loathing fan base in the EPL. That's what happens when you support a team that sounds like a Cadillac model." Send him an E-Mail mate and tell him he knows feck all !!!! lol.... Welcome to the world of the Villa fan.

Loved your comment about Abramovich owning the refs. A Sooner eh? Lovely part of the world Oklahoma, been into the state quite a few times now on our travels over there. Keep that claret and blue flag flying proudly.

I might come to regret asking this, but where does the atilla11101 come from? Probably staring me right in the face if I'd got the sense to realise it.
