Vital Villan Interviews: Villa_In_The_Blood
It is Villa_in_the_blood's turn on the Vital Villan Interviews..

1 - How long have you been a Villa fan and how did you first get the Claret & Blue faith?

I have been a claret and blue faithful since I was about 11 when the mighty Villa beat manure 3 - 1 in the coca cola cup final. My mom's side of the family are also villa fans so that also swayed it alot! Never looked back since!

2 - What was your first game?

My first game was the Fulham match at home in 2007. I was located in the Doug Ellis stand right at the front

3 - What is your most memorable moment as a Villa fan?

Most memorable? well there are a few like the cup wins in 94 and 96 and the destruction of the scum this year. One that seems to stick is when we beat Wimbledon 7 - 1 with deano and Tommy scoring a hatrick each!

4 - And the worst moment?

Losing to the scum, seeing Dwight Yorke leave the club for man utd and witnessing Graham 'do I not like that?' Taylor coming to Villa park again. We were nearly relegated!

5 - Who are your favourite current Villa players?

y favourite Villa player at this moment has to be The Lion Laursen. The bloke is immense. Ashley young is very close though.

6 - Which former player/s are your ultimate heroes?

Dwight Yorke for me easily. I also liked JPA alot as well

7 - Which player do you think was the worst to ever put on the team colours?

Well there have been 1 or 2 !! DJ twins - What was the point and sasa curcic. Waste of talent.

8 - What is the best goal you have seen Villa score and which is your favourite game?

not answered

9 - Best away ground visited?

n/a

10 - Who would you like to see Villa sign this summer?

I'm not sure really! Villa have shocked me by signing cuellar, which I completely did not expect. I would like to see Martins wear the shirt so we can get some backflips on the go when he scores!

b>11 - What are your predictions for us this season in the:

) League between 5th and 9th - Sorry but its going to take another year or so before we crack the top 4

b) Europe We can make the Quarters at least.

b>c) Carling Cup Providing we don't mess around with players and tactics I think we could win it

b>d) FA Cup 3rd round exit by manure

12 - What is your opinion of Martin O'Neill?

love the Gaffer!!! Nah seriously he has been great most of the time. ok tactically wise he has made the odd blip but to take a squad from 16th to 11th then 6th is just amazing considering how much other teams have invested like Spurs and Citeh. His transfer dealing have been questioned but I think he has done well this term. He is building a young vibrant team with more attacking pace and guile than I have seen at VP

13 - What is your opinion of Randy Lerner and the new board?

Lerner has been a god send as far as I can see. Things like giving free advertising to Acorns has been a real touch of class. It seems like ages ago when DD was in charge and it was all doom and gloom that surrounded. I'm happy that we have chairman that seems to care alot about how this club is run. A true Squire!

14 - Where do you sit at Villa and are you a season ticket holder?

Sadly I'm not a season ticket holder but when I do get the chance to see the Villa then I'm usually in Holte end lower.

15 - And finally if you could invite 4 people connected to Villa, living or dead, to a dinner party, who would they be? And you can add one bit of top totty as well to make the party go with a 'bang' ;o)

The 3 people I would love to take are Martin Laursen - James Hetfiled, lead singer of Metallica so that we could have some decent H/T music and Randy Lerner. Lucy Pinder for the top totty!

Fully agree with your 5th to 9th prediction Villa_in_the_blood, we're getting there, but we're not there yet. Good, interesting responses. An enjoyable read. Well done.
