Well you beat me on that one '57. I remember the game, the score, the celebrations, but I couldn't have told you owt about Mr Magic's initial first team goal. Normally such occasions stick in my mind, but not that effort.

Glensider, do you remember which game it was we turned out in Yellow shirts and blue shorts at home and the Holte booed us until they realised it was Villa? We didn't seem to have away kits in those days! Might have been a friendly but , its bugged me for years that I can't remember!

I remeber '57. Stood on The Holte, booed the lads when they came out, until some clever one's realised we were jeering our own. We won 1-0, cinvinced us we were going to walk away with The Second Division title. The following Saturday Norwich City came to town, Ken Foggo scored up the Witton End, beat us 1-0, and the nightmare was underway.

An old fart indeed 50 years a villan, a very old fart in fact. Not quite 50 years a Villan, but trailing you by four years. Forty-six years a Villan, attending my first game in '62.
