Vital Villan Interviews: Los_Angeles_Villan
Los_Angeles_Villan takes the Vital Villan interview.

1 - How long have you been a Villa fan and how did you first get the Claret & Blue faith?

Since I was 14 years old so about 8 years now. I actually grew up a Celtic fan and watched the SPL and the Allsvenskan (being from Sweden) and eventually moved towards Villa when I decided to watch a real league because of Ollie!

2 - What was your first game?

Arsenal beating us 3-1 at Highbury. Bleh.

3 - What is your most memorable moment as a Villa fan?

Two things. Finding out MON was going to be our manager, and us beating Chelsea 2-0 this year, only because my family are Chelsea supporters. It was so bittersweet!

4 - And the worst moment?

David James in the cup final. Need I say more?

5 - Who are your favourite current Villa players?

John Carew and Ashley Young.

6 - Which former player/s are your ultimate heroes?

Olof Mellberg. Pure class.

7 - Which player do you think was the worst to ever put on the team colours?

Milan Baros. Waste of space. Ridgewell for leaving to captain the bluenose.

8 - What is the best goal you have seen Villa score and which is your favourite game?

Cahill's over head kick that virtually sent City down to the championship. This year's 5-1 derby win!

9 - Best away ground visited?

Highbury

10 - Who would you like to see Villa sign this summer?

Huntelaar, Sidwell, Kallstrom, Bentley, Robo or Green, and any RB.

11 - What are your predictions for us this season in the:
a) League
7th
b) Europe Last 16
c) Carling Cup Beating Liverpool in the Final

d) Fa Cup Quarters

12 - What is your opinion of Martin O'Neill?

Growing up a Celtic Bhoy, I obviously thought he was a Saint. I'm a wee bit biased towards him to be honest but I do think he's doing a great job. I may not completely agree with his transfer policies, but I can't argue with the results to be fair. I respect how he's handling the Barry situation and glad to know he doesn't roll over because a 'big 4' club come knockin.

13 - What is your opinion of Randy Lerner and the new board?

If MON's happy, I'm happy. A little worried that he carries the american dollar at the moment. That conversion rate must really hurt the transfer market. Let's hope he just invested his money in Euros as well!

14 - Where do you sit at Villa and are you a season ticket holder?

I don't sit anywhere, I live in Los angeles.

15 - And finally (stolen without shame from Vital Arsenal!) if you could invite 4 people connected to Villa, living or dead, to a dinner party, who would they be? And you can add one bit of top totty as well to make the party go with a 'bang' ;o)

Andy Gray ( I think he's hysterical), MON, Randy, Tom Hanks HA!

With thanks to Los_Angeles_Villan

Interesting responses and comments Los_Angeles_Villan. Certainly agree with your MON comments re handling the Barry saga. He's ensured that no matter what the eventual outcome, as a club, we will have emerged from this with heads held high.

Like the 'any right back' comment, I think that we're all getting that desperate now.

I hope we are better than 7th in the league! I would want us to be automatically into a european spot around 5th or if, and I mean a massive IF, if we can get the 4th spot for CL that would be amazing. However, to do this we would have to sign some significant quality and have the same luck with injuries and suspensions that we had last term. Do relative newbies get an interview Fear?
