Vital Villan Interviews: Fatloser

Vital Villan Interviews: Fatloser
Fatloser, who is neither fat or a loser I'll have you know (!), is the next for our interviews:

1 - How long have you been a Villa fan and how did you first get the Claret & Blue faith?

September 81 a bit late in life (18) as I moved to Erdington from posh school to go to College. (Bristol City's loss was Villa's gain)

2 - What was your first game?

Home v Stoke City september 1981 2-2 draw

3 - What is your most memorable moment as a Villa fan?

European Cup win In Rotterdam (Unfortunately did not go)

4 - And the worst moment?

Relegation following the Turner/McNeil debacle

5 - Who are your favourite current Villa players?

Bouma, Young, Laursen

6 - Which former player/s are your ultimate heroes?

Des Bremner, Allan Evans and Ken McNaught and no I am not a Jock

7 - Which player do you think was the worst to ever put on the team colours?

Cascarino/ Penrice both shocking. Cascarino lives near me I have seen him at the petrol station several times have never plucked up the courage to tell him what I think of his Villa perfomances... he is a big old unit

8 - What is the best goal you have seen Villa score and which is your favourite game?

Best goal I have seen was against ipswich 20 + passes and every one in the team apart from Tealey got at least one touch. Dwight says in a video that they all took the piss out of Shaun big time saying if he had touched it the move would have broken down.

9 - Best away ground visited?

Emirates

10 - Who would you like to see Villa sign this summer?

Wesley Sneider (some chance) Boruc (Possibility)

11 - What are your predictions for us this season in the:
a) League
7th
b) Europe Group stage I am afraid
c) Carling Cup Quarter finals
d) Fa Cup Semi Finals

12 - What is your opinion of Martin O'Neill?

He has steadied a rocky ship, and made a significant impact, i would still like to see an improvement in transfer operations, but generally the football I have seen the last couple of years has been a big improvement on the previous 7 or 8

13 - What is your opinion of Randy Lerner and the new board?

Seem to have made a lot of cosmetic changes and certainly seem to involve fans far more than ever before in the past. It also appears that they let the manager get on and manage, which I would think helps.

14 - Where do you sit at Villa and are you a season ticket holder?

I am not a season ticket holder, I would probably apply if I knew that all (or the vast majority) of the home games were at 3.00pm on a Saturday, Owing to travel distance and family commitments (eg my kids sporting activities). Have been in Trinity, Lower Holte and Upper North this season just gone

15 - And finally (stolen without shame from Vital Arsenal!) if you could invite 4 people connected to Villa, living or dead, to a dinner party, who would they be? And you can add one bit of top totty as well to make the party go with a 'bang' ;o)

BFR, Doug, John Gregory and O'Leary. Totty Keeley Hawes I could interefere with her in the corner while the others argued amongst themselves

With thanks to Fatloser

The Turner/McNeil days. Who can forget that era. Throw Ellis into the mix, and its easy to see why they were such dark days indeed.

Bremner, Evans, and Mcnaught, three players who at their prime we could certainly do with in this current Villa team.
