Vital Villan Interviews: TuBBz

Vital Villan Interviews: TuBBz
TuBBz takes on the Vital Villan interview:

1 - How long have you been a Villa fan and how did you first get the Claret & Blue faith?

Been a Villa fan since i was about 7 as a school mate had their kit and i thought he looked cool, Never looked back since so in total about 32 Years

2 - What was your first game?

Aston Villa Vs Everton although cannot remember much about it. I did go to St Andrews before when i was in a childrens home & we got the whole stadium tour. I remember doing heel spins on the turf

3 - What is your most memorable moment as a Villa fan?

Has to be the Inter Milan game when we beat them 2-0. Never heard an atmosphere like it although the Blues 5-1 demolition was a very close second

4 - And the worst moment?

Losing at Wembly after waiting all my life to win the F.A Cup and we put on a no show like that, Crushed

5 - Who are your favourite current Villa players?

Flying in the face of everyone else i will still say Gareth Barry although for how long i do not know

6 - Which former player/s are your ultimate heroes?

Paul McGrath - What he did was just unbeleivable

7 - Which player do you think was the worst to ever put on the team colours?

The person who i disliked the most was Alpay, i actually wanted to kick his face in at the time

8 - What is the best goal you have seen Villa score and which is your favourite game?

Dean Saunders wonder goal was the best i witnessed in the flesh

9 - Best away ground visited?

Man Utd

10 - Who would you like to see Villa sign this summer?

Realistic targets would be either Bently or SPW & Boruc in goal, The main signing would of course be Barry but there is a 200 page thread discussing the merits of that one The rest i will leave in the capable hands of MON

11 - What are your predictions for us this season in the:
a) League
5th or 6th
b) Europe Group stages
c) Carling Cup Quarters
d) Fa Cup 6th round

12 - What is your opinion of Martin O'Neill?

He's Gillette, The best a man can get

13 - What is your opinion of Randy Lerner and the new board?

After 30 odd years of Doug he has certainly set out to show that good chairmen actually exist. I am not a sheep though and i just hope he is in it for the long term Remember the Villa is for Life not just for Christmas.

14 - Where do you sit at Villa and are you a season ticket holder?

I do not have a season ticket. Work and family commitments deny me getting anywhere near the value for money i would expect from such a layout but when i come 99% of the time i am in the Holt Upper although i didn't miss a home game for nearly 2 years when BFR was manager and i was in Holt lower 'Right Hand Side'

15 - And finally (stolen without shame from Vital Arsenal!) if you could invite 4 people connected to Villa, living or dead, to a dinner party, who would they be? And you can add one bit of top totty as well to make the party go with a 'bang' ;o)

Paul McGrath, Paul Merson, Ian Taylor & Gareth Barry ( Can you arrange this Dinner before he leaves please) Top Totty would have to be Lisa Faulkner, then again maybe not as i would end up ignoring the rest of my guests.

With thanks to TuBBz

TuBBz - my man! Interesting responses. 32 years eh? Another old-timer. Yes, that Lisa Faulkner is definitely of the 'hot variety'. Wear you out at your age though. Would it be worth it? Dont answer that.
