Vital Villan Interviews - Randy.Stand

Vital Villan Interviews - Randy.Stand
Randy.Stands interview:

1 - How long have you been a Villa fan and how did you first get the Claret & Blue faith?

Been a Villa fan for 9 years. My whole family supports and supported Villa even though my dad grew up in Bartley Green- Blues Territory.

2 - What was your first game?

2000- Watford at home. I think we won 4-0. Merson was outstanding that day.

3 - What is your most memorable moment as a Villa fan?

Probably beating the Blue 3-1 at Villa Park a few seasons back and basically relegated them with Cahill's wonder goal.

4 - And the worst moment?

Either getting beat 3-0 and 2-0 by Blues in 2002/03 or losing in the cup final to Chelsea in 2000.

5 - Who are your favourite current Villa players?

Martin Laursen and Ashley Young

6 - Which former player/s are your ultimate heroes?

My favourite players I saw at Villa have to be Paul Merson, Dion Dublin, David James and Gareth Southgate.

7 - Which player do you think was the worst to ever put on the team colours?

Worst player I saw was Hassan Kachloul or Hadji. Both did nothing at all in the claret and blue shirt.

8 - What is the best goal you have seen Villa score and which is your favourite game?

I have to say Petrov's at Derby this season was pretty special and of course Cahill's vs Blues. My favourite game was either Blues at home last season or Chelsea away last season for pure entertainment.

9 - Best away ground visited?

Wrexham. No only joking, Wrexham was a dump. Man Utd is the best one I have been to.

10 - Who would you like to see Villa sign this summer?

A right back please. We can't go another season without a recognised right back. Also I wouldn't mind seeing Bentley down here.

11 - What are your predictions for us this season in the:
a) League
5-6th
b) Europe Group stages.
c) Carling Cup WINNERS
d) FA Cup 5th round

12 - What is your opinion of Martin O'Neill?

I like the guy. Nice bloke to meet and we have improve greatly since her came. From 16th to 11th to 6th is a good achievement and I hope he is at Villa Park for many many years to come.

13 - What is your opinion of Randy Lerner and the new board?

A breath of fresh air. Seems a long time ago the dark days under Ellis. Most things the new board have done has been top drawer. And to have the General- A director on the forum is fantastic. I'm sure no other club has that.

14 - Where do you sit at Villa and are you a season ticket holder?
I am a season ticket holder and sit in the Lower Holte at the moment. I may be changing seats to sit with fellow Vital poster, Young Jonah next season though. I have sat with J Fear numerous times. It was very average.

15 - And finally (stolen without shame from Vital Arsenal!) if you could invite 4 people connected to Villa, living or dead, to a dinner party, who would they be? And you can add one bit of top totty as well to make the party go with a 'bang' ;o)

1. Peter Withe, 2. Dennis Mortimer, 3. General Krulak, 4. The hot bird who sits a row in front of me at Villa.

(JF. Randy.Stand, you can't count! 4 people + top totty, or was it automatic that I was also invited?!)

With thanks to Randy.Stand

I included top totty in the four related to Villa because she is top totty and is related to Villa. I knew what i was doing, thank you very much.

Yep Wrexham was certainly a dump. We did rock the Builder's Stand though. I thought Old Trafford lacked atmosphere. It's probably the quietest ground i've been to. Do any of you drink in the Adventurer before the game?
