A Song For The Lads?

A Song For The Lads?
We seem limited in our songs for different players.

The worst one being 'theres only one ...... (any named player you want).

So lets ensure that we do not start singing 'theres only one John Carew or only one Ashley Young'.

The tunes have to be simple for songs about players to work (Dwight Yorke Dwight Yorke being the exception) so how about 'Ashley Young Ashley Young Ashley Young' to the tune of 'ere we go 'ere we go 'ere we go?

And for John Carew, 'He's claret. And Blue. His name is John Carew, The Holte End roars, the Holte End roars (repeat)?

I love the John Carew one, but I'd simplify it even more. He's Claret & Blue, his name is John Carew, John Carew, John Carew!!!

I understand that Carew's name is pronounced Karev. Still, let's not let the facts get in the way of a good song. We could have the Robin Hood song for Ashley Young? I know it's a steal from ManUre but hey ho.

You are my Ashley, my only Ashley, you make me happy when skies are grey. We think you're going to form a really good partnership with Carew and Agbonlahor, Oh please don't take my Ashley away. Got to do some work on that third line.
