Only 11% Say Baros Should Stay

Vital Villa asked if we should sell Milan Baros amidst numerous links outward for the Czech international striker.

Seems only 11% want him to stay, with a further 1% unsure.

That left 24% saying he should be sold and the majority, with 61%, saying he should be sold but only if we have a quality replacement for him.

Baros is currently being linked to Lyon with their 6'4' striker John Carew moving to Villa Park. All total hogwash most probably!

Hogwash think spurs are lookin at him!

I guess it would be ok for Baros to go if we get Carew in return but not if we were only getting Carew on loan until the end of the season

Lyon seem favourites to take Baros now we've declared we're skint!

Who's skint merlin?
Villain Of The North
yeah, think he'd do a good job for Chelsea Merlin, your style of play would set him up with more changes, although he did miss 2-3 good ones yesterday for us! Tough times for Chelsea, thinking of having a whip round as I feel so sorry for you!! :o) Mourinho certainly looks to be off in the summer doesn't he?
The Fear
sk1nner80, if spurs are looking at him, maybe we could have keane or defoe!

I think we should try and keep him.You don't score as many goals for your country and win a golden boot at a Euro Championship without a talent for scoring. To be fair how much actual match sharpness has he got?, how many consistent games has he played with a consistent strike partner. He had no pre season so was always behind the rest of the team.Yes he missed chances but he was in the position to miss them.He got one chance at Utd and buried it.Get a big man in to play with him and we would have a gem.MON knows best so whatever will be will be.

God bless ya Mr or Mrs OneloveVilla !! For what we`d get back for him ( same as Crouch / Vass / Savo - at least half their worth ) it would be pointless to get rid witout seeing if Petrov/Young etc may be able to link up with him,his movement is very good and if anyone listened to Keown today on SKY admitted that playing against him was a bit of a mare and Villa should chill out.

Many of us were urging Villa to get the deal done when he signed last year - and at times last season he did look quality but at other times, he looked not interested. His body language is all wrong, his work rate isn't great and he can do so much better - but he has so much ability that whoever coaxes it out of him will end up hitting the jackpot. I thought the man to do that was O'Neill but maybe not as he has indicated that Baros probably isn't too happy here..But don't get rid of him until we have at least one new striker in!

Baros doesn't want to be at Villa. End of. Anybody who's been in a job working for a company they didn't like, knows what that means in terms of motivation! No matter how much they're getting paid.

Until Saturday I was in the 'keep Baros at Villa' camp. I'm not so sure now, he should have scored at least twice, if not more. The through ball from berger when he first came on was sublime, and any striker worth his salt would have tucked that away with ease.

Selling Baros would be a backward step. We're talking in one breath about building a team that can challenge and compete, then five minutes later we're selling off quality.

Hopefully if he does hit the exit door, which now seems extremely likely, that we have an alternative or two lined up. We desperately need a big central striker, someone capable of holding the ball up, a Peter Withe type.
