Biggest Villa Flop?

Biggest Villa Flop?
Vital Villa asked, in a poll suggested by crosswesleyanchapel, who was Villa's biggest flop.

Only one man according to the results, step forward Mr Bosko Balaban with 82%.

Bosko joined Villa during the John Gregory era for a fee of 5.8 million, a sum that now seems almost unbelievable due to the fact I don't think he ever actually started a Premiership game did he? Bosko does have 10 goals in 28 games for Croatia mind you. He is currently playing for Club Brugge.

Nil Lamptey and Stan Collymore each got 5% of the vote.

David Unsworth, or more likely is wife as she wore the trousers, 4% for his few day stay at Villa and love machines Sasa Curcic 3%.

That left David Ginola getting just 1% showing he was less a flop and more a missed opportunity as John Gregory obviously didn't fancy playing him once he arrived from Spurs.

In modern times I fully agree with the 'nomination' of Bosko Balaban. I'd love to know the full facts, the ins and outs of that signing, and why he could never get a look in. Why stop at Oscar Arce jonah? Lets include his brother Hector. They were a pair of clowns thats for sure.

Absolutely Glensider, thanks for reminding me, and who was the other bloke who came over with Freddie Mwila? Weren't they from Nigeria/kenya or somewhere?

We have had our share of clowns over the years, I wonder if any other club has paid so much for so little over the years.

Now is it just me or do I detect a very slight feeling that Mackaavfc don't rate Angel?
