How on earth was Adomah not in the team earlier in the season.

Now let's smash Bolton.

Well after tonight, they have lost 7 on the bounce. All things being equal, we should hammer them to be honest

I think we now have a settled first 11.

Indeed, although I'd probably have Jedinak ahead of Whelan tbh

Yes I agree when he's fit he has to play , nice problem for Bruce to have

I've been critical of Whelan this season for the fact that he can't be as bad in this league as he was looking, but the last few games I've seen he's been quality. He does work hard in the middle of the pitch and seems to have got his fitness back that took him a while to get this season but he is 33.

Jedniak can be hit and miss, sometime that football is like a hot potato but I've got a funny feeling Whelan will be our Mr Consistency now.

TBH even though Jedinak is better than Whelan I still wouldn't change a winning team.

Bolton due a win then

Wouldn't that be so Aston Villa!.

But let's worry about that later in the week!

Great win tonight. Sort of win and scoreline a team looking for promotion should be doing.

I'm taking one game at a time but how could anyone not like that!

I love it when a team gets cocky and attack with added arrogance so more of the same, please you Villa boys.

If we want to get out of this poxy league then we need to attack these teams just like tonight.

Well done Steve Bruce and the Villa players.

It's a managers job to know when to change it to keep a winning team , currently at the moment no I wouldn't change it either .
I'd probably play both of them and let the front 4 bomb forwards eventually but it's one for the future

Exactly, even if for every 5 games we draw one and lose one that's fine by me because winning the other three will put into automatic promotion.

You have to generally keep a winning team but the top teams and managers do tend to tweak winning teams. Not sure we can but there is definately a case for Jedinak.

Last season it was the same story but with Jedinak. The first 10 games he genuinely looked like one of the worst players I've ever seen. I was actually shocked at how bad he was considering he had been playing regular premier league football previously. But once he settled in he became one of our most important and consistent players.

I think we forget that it does take time for players to settle in and get used to to their new surroundings, team mates and manager. I bet even the championship takes some getting used to even though it is a lower level for some of these guys.

Usually these types of games would be a banana skin for us but we've smashed them and should be doing the same to Bolton on Saturday to go into the international break flying high. Everyone who we've signed in the summer is showing they were good after all, everything just seems to be coming together now and it feels great.

A most satisfactory evening. Playing with swagger. That's hopefully a warning to the league. Said we should walk it. Stand by that. Looks like they are starting to believe they can?

Bring on Bolton, can't wait.
