Do the lads get a ciggie and a pint at half time? Sky stats say we've conceded 6 goals this season between 45-60th min, I can only assume they work on something all week in training and then at half time get told to do something completely different which confuses them.

I don't want to moan cos we won.... our hopes are up, onwards and upwards!

I was thinking it might be a hot cup of Ovaltine, and they come out at the start of the second half as if they're ready for bed........

Another good win, unbeaten at home this season and only two points off the playoffs. Great stuff, add to that another good runout for the Codger, and all in all a good night's work. the manager and the players can have a well deserved drink tonight.

Good nights work ?? 3 points, apart from that dog shyte.

Thought we were in full control to be honest, especially first half but there is no ambition to dominate the match, to take it by the scruff of the neck.

If it works then 'job done' but I can't help but think setting up to contain and hoping your front four will snatch something is asking for trouble.

Big win though with two very winnable fixtures coming up. As I say, 'job done' and if it gets us out of this division then I'll be delighted - can't be a long term strategy though.

Thought they all played well as a team today , except when Forest scored and they went into flap mode for a few minutes.
Koj and Davis really are the only options up front and will get us up but the alternatives of Hogan and the shocking Onomah frighten the life out of me

Decent game of football and a good result. I'm not going to go negative after a win but Bruce was bailed out by having better quality players at his disposal and an opposing goalie who doesn't know how to line up a wall properly. Credit to Warburton he has them playing some nice stuff at times. To say something positive about our manager I think he got his team selection bang on today. As Wurzel said we are 2 points off the play offs so lets hope this season we have the consistency to make it. Fairs fair I say it's all about results and we got it so it's on to the next game with some positivity.

Ratings:

Johnstone: 8 - I wasn't bothered about getting him in again to be honest but he's proven me wrong. Great command and great save from that free kick. Those faces are worth a few wins over a season.
Elmohamedy: 6 - not a right back for me. Not sure what he adds.
Taylor: 7 - comfortable.
Terry: 7 - adapting to the league and begging to dominate. Part of a shambles for their equaliser.
Chester: 7 - fine. Part of a shambles for their equaliser.
Whelan: 7 - another who's got to grips with championship. Does the unflashy stuff well. Part of a shambles for their equaliser!
Hourihane: 7 - drifts in and out but he is a midfielder who can make things happen. Really like him as a player.
Adomah: 8 MOTM - another good showing. Why on earth he was left out so long I don not know.
Snodgrass: 7 - can be frustrating but looks like he can make things happen. Standard for a winger really.
Kodjia: 7 - clearly not up to speed but getting there. A match fit Kodjia would have hurried that chance in the first half to make it 2-0.
Davies: 7 - another positive showing. Love the way the ball sticks and how he uses it.

SUBS

Hogan: 5 - must be hating it here. Asked to do a job he's not up to for 30mins. Again.
Onomah: 6 - did OK.
Hutton: 6 - helped see it out. One tackle of the type fans love to see.

Bruce: 4 - if you think he could get more out of this squad regardless of the result.
7 - if you accept that this is how it will be and the man knows how to do it in this division.

I don't think we were the better side but we have much better players which is why we won. Forest played with much more quality than we did. I honestly think a good footballing coach could do well in the premiership with the squad we have right now. When I look at bottom half Prem teams they aren't all that.

Not sure why anyone thinks there are easy fixtures in this league. Every team is capable of beating another in the Championship, part of the reason why it is so hard to get out of.

We have two big hurdles in front of us. One is by hook or crook do enough to get us out of this division. The other is to have the team strength to survive in the PL if we do. I've thought for some time that we have the players to get promotion, even if we're making heavy weather of it. But there's not a chance that what passes for a team performance would survive in the PL.

Yes and we didn't boss it either. After we scored they bossed it then our penalty killed it off.

Underwhelming game. We're way too passive still and never seem to want to take control of the game. There are a lot of very mediocre teams in this league who if we really went for it we could blow them away so it's frustrating to watch us sit back.

Defence did ok. I sit in the north stand so I couldn't tell if anyone in particular was at fault for the goal. I will say that Chester made 3 excellent and extremely important tackles/interceptions in the 1st half.

Midfield is too slow, both on and off the ball. Adomah took his goal well and looks more dangerous than last season. Not liking Whelan so far I'm afraid. Gets gassed after 45 minutes and doesn't even look forward let alone pass forward. Snodgrass is shit. Slow, incredibly one footed and has one trick that the full back sussed after 5 minutes. Lovely free kick from Hourihane though.

Kodjia is obviously still feeling his way back into things but without him we draw that game at best. Brilliant assist and won the free kick from nothing. Davis played well again, need to feed him more around the box though.

Great to win but I can't help thinking its all like last season. Getting wins via a bit of luck and individual brilliance rather than going out and dominating games, which 's what you have to do to get yourself promoted. I'm hoping that we can build from here, especially if we can get into the top 6 going into the international break, gain some more confidence and really take the game to opponents.

Most of their possession was between their back 4 the midfield , back to the centra half then to the goalie and repeat , don't think Johnstone had a save to make apart from the free kick , but we should have put them away earlier especially in the first half. Came out very lacklustre in the second half and them scoring gave us a wake up call.

Tohught taking Davis of before Kodjia was wrong as it left us with no one to hold the ball up but with those two up front we are alwayas going to be a threat.

Great play by Kodjia for our first goal , not bad for a player who never passes apparently.
