I can't stand that gobshite Warnock and I think I might give up on the Villa for a while if he ever sat in the manager's chair at Villa Park. Mind you the fact that he and Bruce took over their respective clubs at the time says more about Bruce than anything else but to be fair it was a much tougher job for Bruce to try and sort it out.

However, my own opinion is that while Steve Bruce is at the Villa he will always take a step forward then two backward's eventually leading to his dismissal by his own hand and he need not look any further than to his own negativity and indecision to blame.

Not what I want for the club, but to me anyway it's glaringly obvious.

Warnock? no thanks. Bruce all day over this guy. This is his first full season with his own squad and we are just a few games in. Will he be here at the end of the season having won us promotion? I really hope he does because it's clear he loves managing a club this size and wants to prove to everyone he's the man for the job.

I don't buy the 'own squad' line and it comes up a lot.

It suggests every new manager needs 11 new faces before they can be critisised. It's the managers job to get the best out of the team he has and win football games.

It shouldn't matter if it's an identical squad' to his predecessor. If he's a better manager it should show.

Not all managers at other clubs get a whole new squad'.

He shouldn't need it

Totally agree. That's why a new manager can come in and make a difference.

But if a manager does have the chance to build his "own squad", then he really hasn't got any excuses.
