So we stick if we lose the next three?

This is a results business. Today was a good result, period. Today showed we do have the players to be a force in this division. But Steve has to show that he can produce good results week by week.

If he really can, fine. But he's not there yet.

We are 13th, this squad should be in top 6 challenging and until that happens the Management / Coaches should and will be questioned.

Bruce is mr big bollocks yesterday and fair enough as his team got a superb result.

A starting block again I hope to bigger and better things, it's small acorns at the moment.

Let's see after Forest, where we are.

It's quite simple now, we win the next 4 league games . To have any chance of automatic promotion we will need 25+ goal difference.
The teams that do it go on these big runs like Newcastle did last season , without say great fuss. If we are not in the top 6 after 12 games and have reverted to type in performance and result he still has to go because we easily have the players to do it.

There's no way we lose the next 3.

And if we win 2 of them... which is far more likely. Then it's been a decent September and all the 'mass hysteria' (thanks Brucey) has been for nothing.

Correct. One thing is clear whatever happens this month we won't get promoted this season under Bruce so it will all come out in the wash at the end of the season. There will probably more mass hysteria when we are looking at our 3rd season in the championship.

But who are we to question Brucey The Great? From now on I'll just kiss his 2 promotions in 5 years arse and enjoy my life.

Win 2 and we're on 11-12 points out of 18 for September. Not decent. Probably acceptable, just about. Considering who we're playing, I reckoned at the start of the month that 11 points were bare minimum; others said 12. Will stay with that.

Next Saturday I hope he doesn't tinker and change things. If he does and we lose then he's bound to have people like me on his back. If not and we go on a good run then he has a chance of winning me over.

You're most welcome. Difficult being a Villa fan I know but always here for a bit of positive thinking when you're in need...... :73:

I just reckon that being 3-0 up we should have taken them to the cleaners but I saw quite the opposite. Man Citeh didnt taken the foot off the gas against Watford. So as I said let's see if his safety first mentality returns having achieved another spike on the points per game graph. It was just really poor football at the end, awful passes out of defence, sideways passing and Hogan given hopeless causes to chase

At least wobble chops can't chug him off when he gets the bullet. Bruce is not a villa manager now or any time soon.

We need to win the next 3, we should be winning them convincingly if we harbour any aspirations of promotion this season.

Yesterday was a great result but the fact is it was a lot like the good results we had last season, more down to luck and one player putting in a brilliant performance. The only thing different is the name of the player putting in the brilliant performance.

Bruce needs to get us playing like we did against Norwich. I don't care wether it's 4-4-2 or 4-3-3 what matters is the attitude we set out with. I'm sick to death of us pussying around and sitting back. I've had 6 years of boring, gutless crap from a succession of managers and I just want someone to have a go. If Bruce can do that then great but if not then he can still piss off because we won't be going anywhere no matter how clever he thinks calling fans hysterical is.

Baby steps! Scoreline was generous at 3-0 for me so to have waned more perhaps is asking a bit much. Agree we dominated the last part of the game but they controlled the majority of the game to no avail

We should of run out at least 5-0 winners , adomah and hogan guilty of poor misses .
I really don't see hogan working out for us , he's like a fish out of water

I think we did well to get 3 to be honest , 3rd goal was well worked but the first two were just punts in the direction of the Excellent Davis .
We gave the ball away a lot and I don't remember their keeper making a save , good job he never really .
I agree we should have picked them off at 3-0 but we were never going to do it with sloppy passes . It was a tighter game than 3-0 suggests really
I'll take 3-0 , I'm more concerned we still looked shaky at the back but we were away from home and i expect the home side to have spells of dominance.

I can recall saves in the first half from Snodgrass and Davis, 2nd from Hogan and adomah .
I thought we let them bully us to a degree , I would of liked Jedi in the middle to nip that in the bud From the off ! That said I thought whelan had a good game

Thats a bit weird. I could have sworn Steve Bruce has been in the villa dug out for the last ten months.

I think you'll find he's only been there six months, according to the man himself
