Very disappointed but unfortunately the scream to replace yet another manager must be avoided -I for one did not want Bruce -not because he managed Small Heath - but his style of play . I have friends who support and attend games of Sunderland and Hull who rejoiced when Bruce moved on due to the boring play they had endured .Boy did they let me know what we were about to recieve when Bruce was appointed.( to date they have been spot on)

Signings -none have been successful ( to date)

Tactics -joke

First eleven - appears to not have a clue

Backroom staff - all yes men ( no diversity of style )

Media - excellent talker

Conclusion trim squad and show us you and your yes men can put team on pitch to excite us and not send us to sleep - this really is a make or break year for us as I have not fallen for the fair play propaganda we simply have very little money left our owner may have simply "geared up financially " all he can to release funds and pay back time is NOW

And so to Norwich!!

Appalling start to the season, but, being undone by teams with a game plan & recognised style. After 40 years of watching the game & supporting The Villa, honestly couldn't tell you what our style is!!!

Negatives - Far too many to mention.

Positives - The bookies will be laughing all the way to the bank, favourites to win the league, ha, ha.

We have been crying out for our midfielders to get on the score sheet, 2 of them managed it last night.

Mr Bruce, please leave the building.

I see Bruce is beginning to get desperate. He's now saying the fans expected too much as Terry signed for us.

Is he totally off his trolley or what?

He has no idea what his team is, no settled tactic, no ability to successfully change tactic in-game, creative players who cannot play, a captain that spends 50% of his time at another club, he's brought a glass ankles striker for £15m and turned a team of captains into a rudderless mess and none of that is changing soon.

Once we get to the break point in his contract, which is October it will cost us nothing to boot him and he will be gone. Until then we're stuck with him.

For me, I've just about stated every reason I can think of why Bruce, Calderwood & Clemence should leave sooner rather than later and it's got to the stage of I'm sick and tired of repeating myself.

I understand the anger from people and however much I disagree with the few who want Bruce to stay, I understand why they are saying these things and they have just as much right to do so as well.

The situation is now firmly in the hands of the senior Villa management and the next week should tell us one way or the other however as someone who didn't want him in the first place, I hope they act quickly and I personally hope they are removed ASAP.

The most worrying thing is that Bruce said we didn't deserve to lose!

Is he for real?!?!

I'm lost for words. I wanted Bruce. I championed him. I believed he was the first 'real' manager we've had since MON.

He's had money. He's had time. He has a good record in this division. I just can't fathom why these players won't fight for him. It's baffling.

To me there's three possibilities, there may be more but these are the key ones for me;

1) successive managers have bought crap players and the youth aren't any better
2) we have decent players but coaching and tactics are to blame
3) we have decent players who just haven't come good yet

If it's no.2 we should sack Bruce. If it's no.1 we should sack Bruce for his errors of judgement but it's pointless as there's no more money for anyone to spend. If it's no.3 we should stick. I hope it's no.3 but fear it's no.1, either way we stick with Bruce.

BBJ - what about that squad makes you think they should be able to compete? We're consistently humbled by teams where I've not heard of a single player. Perhaps our squad isn't that good after all?

Three potentially important players to come back but two of them ring alarm bells for me. Is kodija's injury really that bad? Or is he about to be sold to balance the books? Ditto jedinak - linked with a move away in the summer. No sign of a return but the aussies have named him in their next squad. Doesn't stack up.
Then there's Jackie boy, who seems to split opinion 50:50 as hero/saviour or villain. With those three we might have been on nine points, or maybe none. If they all come back and we're still shit though, then the problems are as bad as they currently feel.

Perhaps I should have added "on paper"?
Someone mentioned a while back something along the lines that if the fusebox (the club) is broken, there is not a lot of point in changing the lightbulb (manager).
Not too many tweets from the good doctor recently either!

I expect the good Doctor is far from a happy man. He has spent what? Shall we call it 80m ? He has a right to expect some progress. It pains me to say it but there is none. Indeed we appear to be going backwards. I thought SB was the man for the job, maybe not.

Bruce asking to be given till the end of transfer window, if reports are true would indicate Dr X is very unhappy.

If we are going to get rid of Bruce the only "type" of manager we haven't tried yet would be big Sam which I've always railed against. But now I think I'd take him if this carries on beyond the ten games. Not that he'd want to come necessarily and there are no guarantees with him either. The fuse box metaphor above might be the real answer.

If anything, his comment about us expecting too much annoyed me even more than the game. When he came through the door last year, yes the club was in a mess, but he's had a supportive board who've given him time, the biggest budget in the division, the players he wanted, the patience of the majority of the fans up until now - and all of a sudden we're expecting too much and having to listen to him moan about how FFP isn't allowing him to sign more to replace what he's already bought!

I like and agree with the fuse box analogy. Changing the manager again won't stop the rot.
There is something much deeper that is wrong with the club.
