Well steve you pay 12m for a bloke who gets isolated , we have another 12m midget who can't play a tune but you bring back a bloke who won't score more than 6 goals a season. Oh and thanks for taking one of the Championship s most attacking midfielders and not giving him a game .
We will not get promoted with Bruce so roll on the next 7 games and let's see whether my overreaction is multiplied amongst other fans.

I totally agree the player Bruce is stifling these players has brought in have proven ability at this level including the striker`s the way he sets up his team is just not right, as soon as they have arrived at the club these inform player have gone backward`s this has happened to every single player that's come in apart from kodjia.

These players have had a pre-season now but looking at the second half of today's game it looks like nothing has really changed.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic would struggle to get into double figures with our supply like pretty much everyone says.

Half of Codgers goals last season were ones where he had to bundle past a few players on his own. Hogan nearly did it yesterday but it's not like we're setting up the strikers to have a one or two touch good opportunity all that much.

Bruce's problem - Codger in a 4-3-3 or Hogan in a 4-4-2? Codger I can't recall being as effective in a 4-4-2 from what I'm trying to recall last season. Id like to see Codger and Hogan given a good go and stick with it. If that means Gabby never gets a look in, and one of either Lansbury, bacuna or hourihane is sacrificed then so be it (bacuna preferably).

Hogan ?

Don't see it at the moment myself.

People saying he doesn't get service ?, well first half yesterday we must have had at least 10 , maybe even towards the 20 mark, goalscoring opportunities. He was nowhere near.

They say if forwards are missing chances, at least they are in a position to miss them. Well, tell me where Hogan is missing them ?

Hogan may be out of practice and lacking a bit of confidence. I'd give him more time to come good. He scored a couple of nice ones in pre-season (against weaker opposition). But play him with Gabby as twin strikers. Gabby's lively enough to ruffle a few defences. And may even score more goals! Stick one or both of RHM and Davis on the bench for when they tire (not Samba as a makeshift forward!).

Until we get Bacuna & Lansbury off the pitch, we don't stand a chance..... it's bloody crazy......

As far as the fans go, I think the thought is pretty unanimous.
FOR THE STRIKERS TO SCORE, THE MIDFIELD HAVE TO CREATE THE CHANCES.
It's pretty unanimous as well, that as a striker, Gabby couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat.
The only thing Gabby's ever had that frightened defenders, was pace. He's never been blessed with ability with the ball and the frightening pace has been left on the pieshop floor.
Have a go at the midfield Mr. Bruce.

Agree entirely 1958. I would just add that RHM is the future, and Gabby is way back in the past.
I would much rather see one of the kids given a run because Gabby will offer nothing and yes I know its big step up for the youngsters and its an important season but Gabby has shit on this club and it speaks volumes about SB s mind set that he looks to stake the good start we need on someone who has not delivered in years.[/Q

I'm in the minority here I know but, I'm totally unsure about RHM being the future.
I think the future is more likely to be in the shape of Davis or McKirdy.
