Just been and logged in and changed my password.

Quite frankly its the best ticketing website i have ever seen.

Anyone know anything about ticket resales now?

Away for the first game so want to flog my seat. I think it was Seatwave it last season?

that's a point, not sure which legalised ticket tout system they are using this year. I'd make them all illegal unless they sell at no more than face value. The ones used before I would guess were part of the rip off ticketmaster empire.

Too true, rip off re-sale sites.

With the way kick off times are mucked around with nowadays the club should be providing some sort of resale opportunity at least. Or maybe even a refund facility where if you cannot make a game due to it being changed for TV you can return your season ticket for that game. There would have to be a limit to how many times so its not abused by people though.

Sir Den

If it is fine - and is a ticket purchasing site.

Go on (now 3 days after launch) and try and buy ANY and I mean ANY ticket for ANY game bar Watford.

We are one day from Shrewsbury - not on there - not even to say "tickets for this game can only be purchased by phone or person - nowt !

Try and purchase tickets for the Walsall game - ditto

More importantly, try and purchase a ticket for the Hull game - only 3 weeks away - apparently according to our all new all singing, all dancing ticketing system we are not playing Hull on AUg 5th !!!!

I went on today because, being only 4 weeks away, I thought there may be at least a glimmer of information about the Cardiff tickets, as I am on holiday from next week, I would like to know roughly when they go on sale -

Nope - not even a mention of it - apparently, we have no scheduled "events" in the away games.

So, if it is fine , tell me what is the point of a ticketing system that you can't buy tickets on ?

Ginna keep this short as I have already wasted 3 hours of my holiday attempting to sort it.

What a cock up they have made of this system

Just been on to buy my Cardiff and Reading tickets

1. Log in - my client ref and my postcode - invalid apparently, even though I have had the client code since the Holte was rebuilt and moved to my house 11 yrs ago

(eventually logged in on my sons)

2. Tried to assign tickets, you need a persons client ref. and conveniently all the "family and friends" we bought for Walsall and Shrews hav disappeared. As I am on holiday, I don't have my families references, so attempted every screen looking for them - you can get any number you want on that, invoice number, transaction number, other numbers - but no client ref - anywhere - only way to do it, ring the club, did that - 20 minute wait - thank god roaming charges are now defunkt

3. Luckily, after 7 minutes I remembered receiving the confirmation email from the Shrews game so took 5 minutes searching for that and found them.

4. So finally could purchase them, but I am on hols and only get back late night before Cardiff and not going home. Fine, I thought, I will change the delivery address to my dads = can you do that, can you hell !! , any site I have ever been on there is a "is the delivery address different to the invoice address" - no, not on this one.

5. So had to scrap the entire thing , set up a new account in my dads name / reference and do it all again on that reference / address

6. Did Cardiff.

7. Reading. My son is 17 - the website says U18 - £5. Tried to buy it online, it says U17 is £5 and U25 is £10 - so through fear of being refused it after all that, I have now purchased the more expensive ticket even though he doesn't need it.

Fuming to be honest, wasted an entire morning of my holiday , how can something so simple be done so badly.

Tara - Im off to the pool to calm down

Just looked . You don't need your post code to log in just client ref and password. I think you may have clicked on new customer instead of existing customer Holtelower.

Seatwave re the legalised ticket touting ticket exchange as per the question above.

You only use your postcode to activate the account don't you?

I've yet to buy but on the system a few times and it looks good to me.

Holte. You are working your way to another coronary. The amount of anger over things (not just this, your like it so often) is not healthy.

You need to get some sort of help for coping techniques. Don't want you ill again and I'm sure your family don't either.

As for client refs. That's your fault not noting them

As for having tickets sent to a different address. You don't do that in football really. They like to know the person who has booked them receives them then if any of your other ticket holders play up they know who to come to. You.

Also card regulations stipulate that goods must only be sent to the cardholders address.

The companies that let you deliver to different addresses do so at their own risk and can usually afford to absorb the losses re card fraud etc.

My dad bought Cardiff tickets the other day and if he can operate the system then it can't be that bad, although I haven't actually used it myself

Have purchased tickets for watford , cardiff and reading away so far and being able to pick your seat is great , so far so good.

( my 17 year old son actually completed the process for all 3 transactions as I fecked it up and started getting arsey.)

Dont know why people are knocking Seatwave on here. I used them on a number of occasions last season and saved quite a few quid, and Villa assure me that they count towards your booking history in the event of cup finals or play offs.
Some of the prices are just rediculous but the owners just get stuck with these so dont understand why they price them so high, its not like we sell out every week and tickets are at a premium.

R.e Seatwave I had an issue that I mentioned in the Hull match thread.

Put my season ticket seat up for sale as cannot make game this Saturday. Done this before but I think it was on the previous resale site that was used (viagogo?).
Put it on for 17 quid which is 10 quid under face value for holte lwr L6. Sold within hours and I receive 15 quid once admin fee is taken out. Better than nothing in my humble and the least I should be able to do if I can't make a match.

I then kept getting emails from seatwave telling me that I needed to dispatch the ticket and if I didn't I would be liable for the cost. Obviously I cannot do this as it is a season ticket. Emailed seatwave and within 24hrs they responded and said mistake sending emails on their part everything is fine no need for me to worry.

Pretty good all in all. I do maintain that if a kick off time is changed for tv purposes they should give season ticket holders chance to return their seat and be refunded. Even if it is a restricted amount of times you can do it.

As for the new online system. Went online Monday (from abroad) and got reading away. Real slow but think it was Wi-Fi issue as I changed and went on the 4g network and no issue.
