Cool, I used to love those old balls. We were good when we used to play with them back then.

Really hard to talk about balls without making it sound sexual innit?

So the new ball 'boasts optimal control, accuracy and power'. Well then Dr Tony can put his cheque book away then, simple.

Actually it did include a trip to the old Layer Road ground in the LC winning season of 74-75. I remember being there very well, we won 2-1 with goals from Ray Graydon and Alan Little. I remember being packed in to this tiny end, with just a flimsy fence between the Villa fans and the home fans. Part of the wooden flooring gave way right next to me. It was a brilliant series of away games after Everton, it was trips to Crewe, Hartlepool, Colchester and Chester .... unforgettable times. Just so much fun.

So Charlton are desperate to win the Carabao Cup, and are hoping no one will notice their tactics

This is the one season I am not going to care if we exit the cup's, I so want to see the Villa captain lift the FA Cup but this season above all others I want points every game, focus on one goal and one goal only, get the fuck out the Fizzy League and stay in the Premiership. Getting promoted is only half the ambition.

Lets just gloss over the fact that we are playing Colchester in the first round of the league cup before the premier league season even starts.

Nothing to see here.
