'Boro reassembling Villa's legendary 2015-16 forward line with a winger who can't cross and (bearing in mind they only play one up top) a striker who can't hold up the ball! Is N'Zogbia still a free agent?

To be fair Rudy seemed like one of the good guys attitude-wise but he's one of the worst strikers I've ever seen at Villa - appalling first touch, zero pace and not strong enough for a man his size. He's a one trick (Championship) pony really and I can't see him fitting in at all with how Boro play. I'm shocked and pretty pleased we've got our money back on him!

That said, don't bear him any ill-will - good luck to him.

I watched Boro's game the other day and was surprised that Adama did put in around 3 very good crosses which Rudy would have thrived on. The rest of the time though he was rubbish.

Wish him well. Seemed to have a positive attitude. Needs crosses put in in front of him which he can hurl himself at. Doesn't fit in with us, partly because we have few players who can put in those sort of crosses.

And don't forget the goalkeeper that doesn't make saves.

Good luck to Rudy, didn't work out at VP, but he seemed to have an attitude that was right, he tried, didn't moan and I wish him well,

Good business for us to get our money back on him as he is never Premier League quality as others said he lacks touch , pace and movement.

A limited but effective player if played in the right way.

Good luck to him.

We used to say Tony Hateley would be a great player with his head lashed to his boots.
Unfortunately Rudy wouldn't.

Good luck though, wish him well.

His ability in the air doesn't make up for the severe deficiencies in all the other aspects of his game. I think he's OK as a squad player to come of the bench and add a physical presence up front as a last resort, but he'll never be any more than that. If selling him paves the way for someone else to come in to improve the starting 11 then recouping our initial investment for him is fantastic business.
