Hey, I am sure that 2017 will be a good year for the club, support from your owner for Steve Bruce to make the changes needed will give you the strength in midfield you to go on!

Westwood is fucking shit .
Stats back it up , results back it up , people's eyes going home and away back it up.
To back him is sheer folley , absolute unfiltered shit and i can remember 1984 to 1986.
Would some of our posters who witnessed the dog pooh of 1966 to 1970 please compare wastewood to any of the crap we had then , just out of interest.
Still waiting for his man of the match awards after 5 seasons, yes 5 seasons of smeone who would struggle with sheffield utd.

I think most, if not all of the fans on here think Westwood is pretty garbage. However I think what HolteLower is trying to say, and I agree, is that Westwood wasn't actually that bad against Leeds. Neither was Ayew despite wasting possession a few times but both these players get slated for their performances even if they have played just as well (or as badly) as other players in the same position (i.e. Jedinak; Kodjia, Bacuna)

Didn't think it was nearly as bad a performance as some are suggesting on here. We started brightly but, as ever, never capitalised. I thought we were the better side for first half.

Then second half, we started brightest - their goal (first effort on target?) came from poor defending of a set piece and a 'keeper error and was completely against the run of play. After that their tails were up and we looked shaken, Leeds were better for the next 20mins or so and looked most likely to get the next goal. The after Bruce made the changes it became a basketball game with us taking turns to attack.

Clearly we weren't great and desperately need midfielders but I thought a draw was a fair result and that it was a pretty good game to watch.

Did you feel the two jolts of pain I did 57?
First the Leeds goal. How on earth was Jansen given so much room? Why did Bunn bottle the save having got there?
The last Kodjia chance.
Why did he blast it at the advancing keeper?
A three-yard pass to his left would have left an unmarked McCormack an easy tap-in and got us the 3-points.
It's no wonder I have rapidly decreasing amounts of hair on my pate.

Yes mate Bunn should have saved it , but what was Hutton doing marking that big bloke should have been Baker or Kodja .

Kodja and McCormack are always having words , he was never going to pass was he , despite all Macks arm waving . Hindsight is great . I think other players might have passed it but not Kodja

Frustrating game , once we went behind it was a good point . Shame he didn't get the subs on before they scored . Ayew was doing nothing can't believe it took so long to get him off, The groans of disbelief when he took Jedinak off and left Weswood on as THE only midfielder where very clear . He got out of jail though with the penalty thanks to a sharp linesman

Ha ha Dan , yes mate , I don't normally look at stats as they don't really measure the full metrics or right metrics . But you can't really claim a bloke is some sort of midfield general when he made 2 tackles in a game and 2 headers , Just thought I'd look it up to make sure I never blinked or something and missed all the tackles

So he's garbage and not had that bad a game by Westwood standards , so that is enough to score him higher than Jedinak who didn't play as well as he can .
Problem with Mr Lower is if Gardner or Jedinak put in a performance like Westwood did against Leeds he'd score them a 3 , just like he has Avami who had a below par performance by his standard . Although he still won more tackles than any other player on the field .

We are not talking about a Westwood having a poor run here , we are talking about a poor player . A player who when he starts , means we are playing almost a man down for 90mins.

As for Ayew , he's not even worth typing about
