No shit sherlock!.

No , really, we arent in for Delph?. Well, i mean why would he make that jump from champions league, title challenging man city to mid table championship. When, if he were granted a move, there are numerous clubs from 7th down in the premier league to join or even top flight european clubs.

Close this thread ffs.

This is one of those "if wishes were horses, beggars would ride" kind of threads.

Er - no thanks, on his day ok [so very very rare as to be blue], but generally an overrated sicknote. No way No way. To think that he has 9 more England caps than Sir Dennis Mortimer says everything. As for his mate Cleverly .. again no thanks. He had energy but just ran down black holes.

I would be more concerned about Delph's effectivenes if, unlikely as it is, he did return. whilst some survive the experience - Milner and Barry for example - most players who get hoovered up by a top 4 club only to find they weren't that welcome after all are hit by the experience. Sinclair, for example, was every bit as good for Swansea as Delph was for us and look what happened there. If Delph returned it would be as a failure, and the welcome at VP could well be warm for all the wrong reasons.

Leave him where he is.

I always suspect it's down to motivation. After only a year at Chelsea, Sidwell was never the same player he had been at Reading.

I guess they've made all the money they will ever need and their chance to compete for trophies has passed so what's left?
