Bree and DeLaet both need to be loaned out. Bree for experience and DeLaet to get match fit.
That will leave Hutton and Elmo to cover the right back/wingback spot.

Certainly can't keep them all happy that's for sure. Seems very unbalanced at the moment and that doesn't make for a happy dressing room.

He's been here 5 years longer than he should have.

The last educated guess at Alan Hutton wage was £30k per week - pre relegation clause from press releases.

I would imagine that there are bonuses built into these contracts, but no way is he on £45k in the Championship.

I don't believe that the guesstimates of wages are close to being accurate because Villa's wage bill for all staff was £80m a couple of seasons ago - this included some 1600 full time staff - the sums just don't add up.

I like Hutton. Hope he stays. He and Elmo down the right could be quite dynamic.

I think not. He's done a decent stint (can't believe it's 7 years - wow) and he's getting on a bit now. If he'd accept reduced wages, and maybe a one-year deal, maybe, but otherwise, time to cut him loose.

His style of play reminds me of someone running blindly up a cul de sac with no entry but nevertheless, they keep on running with no end result.

Therefore that's a no from me.

Yeah, I'd extend his contract. He's a great professional who gives 100% and will play anywhere. We've signed Bree and DeLeit and neither of them can displace him.

If he left us, he'd go to a PL club.

Well as we'll almost certainly be in the Prem next year -
I'd hope the new manager would be looking for better than McCafu.

Alternatively, I suppose it would depend on how much of a pay cut he'd take that would be fitting for a toiling championship side on their uppers.

Pains me to say but he's still our best RB and LB

Didn't realise he was 33 . Fair play to him , he is as fit as anyone there .

Also he looks better at left back than at right back for some reason and I would like to keep him.

He is versatile in being able to do left back and right back roles.

Keep. Go on what you see on the pitch. He's a great professional and you can see that in the performances he puts in, despite being 33. He's not the greatest player but those performances are always amongst the best week-in week-out. Turns out he's a better LB than a RB! That's where we're weak. Playing him at LB has given Adomah the support he needs, and wasn't getting.

Obviously he's not going on for ever, but I reckon he's worth another 2 years. Even if his performances tail off he'd be good for back-up.
