He should retire to make his career longer, especially after being cut from the squad last time

Was cut so he could have longer to recover and get over the injury. I think with the World Cup on the horizon he might be hanging on for that to be fair but he can't keep doing those miles especially as things seem to blow up for him on duty now.

Was a good move from Aus as by rights at the time he was considered fit enough for at least one of the games from memory, but then he had his complication that held him back again.

Need to get a good 3-4 games for us first though in my opinion now so he can ensure he's over his problems.

Totally his decision obviously but something has to give at that age and he has had a fair few knocks / injuries I think.

I think the nature of the World Cup has probably delayed a decision - can't really blame him for wanting a shot at it.

Just not come at a great time with his injuries since coming in.

Well in this case it may work in out favour. He can't be right up to speed yet and some game time with Australia should help him be properly ready for our games.

But flying across the world is very tiring. First to Honduras for Friday’s match then over to Sydney for next Wednesdays return leg and then back to the UK for the match against QPR, no way will he be starting that.

Yes that's a good point but the travelling didn't seem to affect him last season.

No problems with a player being dedicated to their country. It's a refreshing change and it's how all players should be. Slightly inconvenient for us but good luck to him and any other villa players playing internationally

Annoying but can anyone see him being the type of bloke who'd refuse a call up for his country to a game which decides if they go to the world cup or not.
