I'm confused as to what the moaning is about here?

Is the suggestion that he is feigning injury to keep himself fit for the World Cup? Or are people pissed off that a professional footballer wanted to play for his country when fit to do so and would want to play in a World Cup?

Either way, he deserves more respect for the excellent job he did for the majority of last season.

Thinks it's more frustration than anything else. I understand it to be honest. We always suffer from key injuries. These last two are players who have gone away with their countries, one playing a stormer and one getting injured again while away.

I understand frustration at a player getting injured. But I don’t see what Jedinak has done here to deserve criticism.

He didn't play for the majority of last season.

He started 33 championship games for us last season and played the full 90 minutes in all but five of them.

And he was our player of the season. What a ridiculous comment (by tarzan, not you!)

We've managed ok without him. Ok, he's out again, but hopefully he'll be fit for February and available for the final push for promotion/play-off place.

Give the guy a break.

I think by all accounts he is a very professional player and wants to play every minute of every game , so suggesting he is not as badly injured as is made out is ludicrous .
He's not Gabby or Insomnia he's a proper man

altho Gabby has 'played' more minutes for us this season
(using played loosely obv)
and those two games for Aus also means he's clocked up more minutes for them than us this season.

shame as we could do with him

This is the risk you take in signing international players from outside of Europe. In fairness to Bruce he signed proper back up in Whelan who has more than filled a Jedinak shaped hole

Good. If he is fit for their next game in March it means he will have played for us before then.

Your right. Be the last 10 mins of a game before he jets out across the world .

I do agree with you Sir Den and others about him having a great spell for us when fit and doesn’t seem to be a player here just for the money.

Maybe should have signed once he had retired from international duty. I dearly hope he gets fit to show by playing for Villa he is ready for the World Cup. I doubt it though.

Think you’re missing some FACTS here. He was out with a groin, came back and was eased back into things for 4/5 games and played a sizeable chunk of the derby. Then he went away, came back fit and injured his SHOULDER on his return to the starting line up, after playing at QPR (with no reoccurrence of his groin).
He did miss Australia games earlier in the year when he had his groin injury also (did NOT find fitness for those!)

I think it’s ludicrously disrespectful to the man to suggest anything other than bad luck.

Thanks for the capitals. Let’s see how his season pans out.

Jedinak will be busting a gut to get fit for the run in for the Championship for us as it will more or less guarantee him a place for Australia in the WC in Russia.

When he plays in the right position for us, he is a real asset.
