A Champions League tie played in England is one of 680 matches across the world investigators say was fixed.

European police did not reveal the identity of the match they believe was corrupt in England.

But Europol did say that they had uncovered an organised crime syndicate based in Asia that was co-ordinating the operation.

two options - Chelsea v Barcelona with that guy Ovrebo refereeing - how many penalties should we have had that night?

Second one - Luis Garcia's ghost goal at Anfield in the semi-final!

Lol. I was going to say we should demand a replay but then, it could get worse!

Apparently the tie fixed was Liverpool V Debrecen when Liverpool beat them 1-0. Debrecen were supposed to lose to them 2-0 but apparently Gerard was so appalling the goalkeeper couldn't get another 1 go to go in, I heard.

No wrong doing suspected by Liverpool

You know, I don't know what's more shocking: the attempt to fix 380 football matches, or that Liverpool could only score 1 goal against a team whose keeper was paid to concede 3.

Presumably, the main source of evidence is that Liverpool won the game?

I believe that match fixing is much more prevalent that any of us would care to admit. How many times have we seen the 'big' teams get decisions incorrectly in their favour?
