I can't believe I'm still seeing people arguing for Bents inclusion. Staggering.

Even i am getting sick of seeing him look a dead beat, i dunno what has happand and know he has never been an electric buzzin player etc but he looks like he is a zombie prancing around imo

Never would i thought i agree with prep

His goal ratio is the only thing that we can debate we do need goals but he looks like he has had it to me!

As soon as I heard the team in the car, I said to my wife, ridiculous, we need a flat back 4, get Weimann and Gabby wide, as they both work forwards and backwards and get the service into the front two.

I know I shouldn't laugh, but I can just imagine your wife's face sitting in the passenger seat while you're going on about flat back 4's and wide men

Yeah, but unless she's had a sex change she's still a woman presumably.

Yeah, really looks a dead beat Zombie, came on against Bradford and set Weimann up for the winner, too little too late though

Starts the next game and scores. !

OK didnt do a lot last night but as has been pointed out for about 20 pages on here, no fault of his, and down to the service.

We have scored 20 goals in the entire year, the only way of staying up is playing the strikers who can put the ball in the net - that is Bent and Weimann - simple.

I can't remember Cisse touching the ball more than 5 times last night - unfortunately one was a goal and therefore they walked away with 3 points - we didn't - simple !

You could take a monkey to the theatre for 30 years but I doubt it would be able to write a play.

Don't get me wrong holte i blame Lambert for knocking bent's confidence n hoof tactics etc, but i from what i saw at VP Bent looked like in slow motion, he can not be 100% fit maybe thats the problem

We do need goals agree but Lambert is not adapting his formations to the players we got he is trying vica versa and it wont work, get balls in the box ffs from outwide

Did i just read people giving Baker MOTM and saying how brilliant he was? Did you see Newcastle's first goal or were you watching another game? Baker totally ball watching, went and wandered, left Cisse onside and totally free. Appalling defending and if thats what gets you MOTM then god help us. Baker is just another in a long line who are not good enough for Premier League Football.

Yes the first goal was totally his and Westwoods fault the second was a weak header straight to their player from vlaar who has been pretty poor since he came back

dont think Bent cares about villa. Why would he? when he signed he mentioned Young and Downing, both sold after 6 months, relegation battle since we signed him, and now Lambert is messing him around, making him captain then dropping him

I dont care what anyone says, Bent is a quality player. I feel sorry for him he hasnt done anything wrong since hes been here, before this season he had 19 goals in 41 games, basically 1 goal per 2 games.

I would rather sell him and get money and then buy some other players than see him be wasted on our bench
