You lot are awful. Players, manager, chairman, FANS. The whole lot. The next club that thinks theyre too big for their boots to go down the shitter. Im not even a Wigan fan but absolutely loved seeing them beat you today after your fans were leaving after 56 minutes.
Thanks for that and happy new year to everyone on your ward |

Squad Member Posts: 516 | Interesting to see on MOTD that they called "time" on the game once Wigan scored their third and many fans walked. This was the 56th minute, some 34 minutes to go that were not deemed worthy of any TV showing.
Like many others I stayed to the end yesterday and cannot think of too much I can remember ( or actually want to remember!) from then .Seemed to be all hoofball to Benteke who would lay it off nicely to a Wigan defender.Albrighton tried his best but which other premier side would he get into?

Watching the game to why did so many fans leave at the third goal surely that is when the team needs the fans the most?
It's not something I do, but fans pay they're money and I suppose they're entitled to do that, however we aren't exactly man utd and we aren't going to score 3 goals in the last 30 minutes - we've never done that.
No villa manager for years has managed to build that spirit into a team to play for 90 minutes and get those last minute goals |

And just to add to the misery, I have just received my ticket for the Bradford game...£39 for a wheelchair ticket...what a rip off, Mr Lerner & Co!
Wheelchair users get charged full price??

Randy - is there more to these injuries do you think?
It seems crazy to have so many out for so long with so little!
100% yes.

| In the case of some though, are we missing them? I'd certainly have Vlaar, an on form Gabby and a Wigan rejuvenated Charlie boy back!
As for disabled access, policy in the prem is full price but it includes a free ticket for carer/support person I believe.
I left that early once against Blues, went and watched the rest in the concourse so I didn't attract further attention from the stewards lol Doesn't mean they all walked out. |

And another poor bit of management was that lambert cites the combination of benteke and bent together in the Southampton game as the reason he doesn't play them together. FFS he really is as simple as they come if that truly is his reason because if he had actually used his eyes and watched the game or looked at the stats afterwards he would notice that all we did was hit hopeless long balls up to benteke and completely bypassed our midfield. The long pass percentage went through the roof from the previous game and our total number of passes went down considerably. Benteke provides the 'lump it long' easy way out that so many of our players are fond of because they can't actually play football to the standard required at premiership level so instead of staying composed and passing to a midfielder they panic at the first sign of pressure and lump it up to him. He symbolises everything that we should be discouraging and yet, even despite his lack of interest in being at villa for the long term, the large majority seem to want him to blow in their faces. Good bloody night all
Just playing devil's advocate here, but maybe with our midfield we can't play the ball through it to Bent and therefore the best option is to use Benteke to hold up play?
this has been my whole point though Kitan.. lambert could have spent £23m on getting a decent midfield in to create a tailored supply for someone who has a PROVEN TRACK RECORD of CONSISTENTLY scoring at a rate of 1 every 2 games. instead he bought in another striker and if i took a look at last season's scoring stats im willing to bet that we're probably scoring even fewer goals than we did under mcleish yet conceding a truck load more. the £7m he spent on benteke could have been put to better use is what im saying. instead of still having a god awful midfield we could have spent that £7m on a decent midfielder like hoolahan or brunt, guys who arent going to cost a fortune in wages and arent going to command massive transfer fees. its not rocket science. I understand what you're saying, but Benteke has been one of the few bright spots this season. I know it's possible we could have had another new hero/gem in midfield, but I can't imagine where we'd be without him. |

Hmmm, probably one or two places lower than we are now, which is all we deserve.
I think the question we all need to be asking is - Are we good enough to be the 4th worst team in the league? |

| I'd say that was about right.
Has anyone else noticed they havent even bothered giving a Motm at the ground for the last couple of games.
It must have been "sponsor, who do you think should be man of the match"
"no-one, they are all crap"
Can't be any other reason for it. |
