Team Of 82 Champion Posts: 5141 Location: Back in England!!!! | I don't have any chickens, I haven't even got a turkey, but I've got some beef steaks, which I am definitely not counting because it's gonna be a tricky game. It seems easy, but tell that to Arsenal and Wigan etc.
A great draw, but at this stage in the comp everyone is well up for it and it's gonna be a battle.

Squad Member Posts: 602 Location: Cork, Ireland | Bradford fans are saying it is the perfect draw for them, I slightly disagree, as perfect for them would be having the 2nd leg at home for them. But I see their point as it is closet tie to them so no long trips on cold January night for them. Also they will get a bigger allocation at Villa Park than at Swansea, so we really are the team they wanted in that regard. Added to that our form compared to Swansea over the last 18 months would suggest we are the weakest side they could get but even so they would have wanted us for logistical reasons even if we were still in the top 6.
But take nothing away it is the absolute perfect draw for Aston Villa, with the pressure on them now in the 1st leg at Valley Parade I could see and hope we can get a comfortable victory there and take the pressure off at home. Not taking if for granted though Bradford have merited their place in the semi final just as much as we have and in a cup game you have to be at your best to progress, So I will take going through to the final any which way it comes. UTV!!!

| Every cup tie is a tricky thing, but Lambert will both warn and get the lads up for these games, so I don't think we'll underestimate Bradford and should march on to Wembley.
In a one game final, anything is possible. Reaching it though, would be a tremendous achievement for this young squad of ours.
Happy days |

Squad Member Posts: 520 | Agree with all said before.A Wembley appearance after the past couple of years a real bright light.Just hope that the semis and a potential final focuses the players' minds on the league ( ie playing for a cup place) rather than distracts them.
We are still too close to the bottom three for comfort.UTV |

Have a read, I think you will see what we all said, most said remember Tranmere, Chester etc..
I was one of the more bullish and all I said was "That'll do nicely"
I have read page 1,2,3 and 4 - and nowhere can I see that we thought we just had to turn up |
