Surely we could have got a couple of experienced players in on loan and kept to the budget? Wih Hutton and Warnock out, wouldn't the budget have stretched to 14 or so weeks of 2 top quality loans @ 50k a week? That's £1.4m to save our skin.
Personally, I think Randy has sold us down the river, but PL reminds me of Wenger in his arrogance. Wenger thinks he can win the champions league and compete for top spot without buying proven experienced players. Lambert has the same arrogance, but with a lower target. Neither looks like they will be succesful in what they hope to achieve. Lambert needs to get his ego in check.

UTV, no way could we expect anymore or better players signed, as Randy has us all thinking even in our sleep ''CUTTHE WAGE BILL MY LORD, CUTHE WAGE, ,,,,CUT THE WAGE BILL MY LORD, CUT THE WAGE OOOOHHHHHHHCUT THE WAGE''!!

I am awaiting the RANDY OUT protests the tight arse, he has virtually guarenteed our relegation and i am not going to type all of the things im thinking as i per usually do tbh i may get banned!!!

can see no sane reason for not investing a little more to improve our chances of staying. At least a couple of decent loans. Madness.

Maybe they realise we have a lot of young players who could do with being loaned out and to save paper work on all those loan agreements they've decided to take the whole squad down to the Championship at once.

the signings wont make one iota of difference unless lambert starts doing what he is paid to do.. MANAGE! this idiot a) cant get the team to string more than two passes together and is seemingly willing to just let them hoof it when under pressure as ive seen no signs WHATSOEVER of him demanding we pass the ball and b) has no idea how to get the team to defend set pieces.

unless the new signings demand that the rest of the team uses them as the focal points and that they pass them the ball, plus are then actually good enough themselves, then we're going to keep getting fire trucked up the grass by every team we play.

for me, the players we have up top and in the middle of the park are actually more than good enough to keep us up. i worry about our defence, but feel if we played the right football, they wouldnt come under as much pressure, and moreover we'd be scoring more goals. pretty simple, concede fewer by keeping the ball and also score more. the problem is, lambert clearly doesnt know how to, or simply refuses to change the style of play which is why i think we will get relegated. it was never about who we brought in in january, but the change in approach that lambert needs to implement which ive not seen at all throughout the season (apart from away to newcastle but we've not played like that since which is beyond belief).

in summary, we're getting relegated, not because we didnt sign people in january, but because lambert is not good enough and has made a complete dog's breakfast of the talent he has had at his disposal and also brought in some sh!te himself.

One for fans of Darren Bent and Les Miserables. Wish I'd seen this closer to the deadline.
