Villa Park Legend Posts: 2520 Location: Always a brummie, but not there now | Pat Murphy who is a respected BBC Midlands correspondant is adamant ONeill said "I dont mind you selling James but I want money and no player exchange" , he was told he was getting Ireland, he said he didnt want him, they said tough, so he walked.
Believe what you want, but Pat Murphy is very knowledgable about the Villa and did a 5 minute interview with Lambert only last month and put the questions the fans are asking time and time again without a real reply.
It sounds correct to me, and I can understand MON walking. In fact, people on here are now saying Lambert should walk if he is being dictated to - and MONs stock was a hell of a lot more than Lamberts. |

Freidal , Young, Milner, Downing, Collins, Guzan etc...etc...etc...
Not to mention an average attendance of 40,000 (which, by my maths, extra 12000, average £25 , times 18 games) = 5.4 million a year
plus the extra league placings at 700k per place, 16th last year, from 6th - thats.... 7 million quid a year
Plus the extra revenue from the TV money, 16th place gets 42 million, 6th place gets 54m, so thats 12 million a year
Shall I go on, or shall I just say , taken out the player sales, the Europe money, the cup run and runners up money, extra merchandise sold as we were successful
, the revenue alone that ONeill got us, from just these three tings of things totals.... a family fortune of 24.4 MILLION A YEAR !!!!!
or to put it another way
15 players all earning an extra 32,000 QUID A WEEK MORE THAN NOW !
