What an up and down season for Newport.

Finished in a very respectable 3rd place. Means we now have the chance in the playoffs to reach league 2.

Play Grimsby away on Weds and then at home in the 2nd leg at Newport.

Bought my ticket yesterday

Excellent result yesterday.

County held on until the 88th min when we had a corner which a Grimsby player proceeded to smash into his own net.

1-0 away from home! Bargain.

Looking forward to the home leg on Sunday now.

Cracking result on the weekend.

6600 people packed into Rodney Parade. I've never seen a Newport game with an atmosphere like that. Unreal.

1-0 but should have been more. 2-0 over both games makes a very tasty all Welsh promotion final against Wrexham next week.

Bit let down is the F.A. though. They want £40+ for tickets!

Travel, food and drink money later and your talking £100+ for the day which I cant afford at the moment so I'm a bit gutted. Especially as I watched County at Wembley last year and the tickets were around £15 for the FA Trophy final.

Still here's hoping for County getting into league 2!

Just like to congratulate Newport County on winning the play off and returning to the Football League.

I'm sure Draig will be chuffed to bits.

Hasn't been a bad year for Welsh clubs. Swansea winning the Capitol One Cup, Cardiff winning the Championship and now Newport County....

Thanks very much Pride. Must be said I'm very proud of the lads. Its been a tough 20 or so years for County so this is very deserved.

Looking forward to playing Fifa 14 in the Autum when I get to play as County!

They have an open top bus parade in Newport on Weds so I'm hoping to sneak out of work early to cheer them on.

Very proud and chuffed to bits.

Although credit to Wrexham, who put up a great fight and also won the FA Trophy the week before.

Yeah, I'm sure it was a good match.

Actually, I'm amazed at the "old" Football League clubs now plying their trade in the Blue Square Conference... when you look at the league table.

Well the first round of the league cup has been drawn.

County have been drawn away to Brighton and Hove Albion.

Its the cup though so anything can happen as villa can testify with our fair share of shock exits over the years!
