Fotheringay - the self titled debut album, indeed the band's one and only album

The Lady formed the band upon her leaving Fairport, The Lady of course being the late, great Sandy Denny.
Album includes 'Banks of the Nile', 'Winter Winds', and 'The Sea', amongst others.

Michelle Shocked / Arkansas Traveler

Best of her albums (in my humble), tracks include 'Over the Waterfall', '33 r.p.m. Soul', 'Come a Long Way', and the title track.

Outspoken, arrogant, but supremely talented.

Groundhogs - Split

Excellent album villasince67.

I remember very well buying the album, must be early 70's, '72 maybe.

Great band too.

UFO - Strangers In The Night [1979] and in particular 'Love to Love' [live] which I would take to my desert island with a UPS every day of the week.

Biffy Clyro... Puzzle.

Not totally sold on them but they've done a few decent tunes.

Just been through the entire Eminem back catalogue in the car as well, some superb stuff!

Virgin, in their original building by the Law Courts. As you will no doubt recall, it was a real pokey little dive, no bigger than your average living room.

I bought it the same day as I bought Pentangle's 'Reflection'.

In the Land of Grey and Pink - Caravan

Early '71 album, not everybody's favourite band, but I like them. I think that this was their best album, and it was in fact the final album by the original band line-up.

Beautiful late night listening.

The rather superb Sandy Denny - 'Rendezvous'.

@glensider - I saw ELO in Solihull [!] in May 72 just before 10538 Overture went big, I reckon Caravan were also on the bill, could be wrong. Anyway ... another world
