All you see from me is consistency, I am pointing out how two-faced everyone is being. Don't take my word for it, read the threads.
What I said from Day 1
1. I wanted Lambert , I was so for him
2. He started to sign players - I thought it was ridiculous, I believed we were in serious trouble
3. I started to question Lambert, I started to realise my worries had some legs
4. I admitted I was wrong, although the main issue is the board, Lambert made the signings, and he has to take the flack.
5. I've said I had enough.
But read, I see the same people who slagged, and I mean slagged me off for airing my views in August are now THE SAME ones who are moaning now. Sorry, you told me Lambert was correct in doing this, so live by it, don't start saying now "if we don't get experience we are down". At least Green Tea, for all I have a go has stayed consistant, then you have a few others like Aspinall who have basically said "OK, I thought it was right, but I admit I was wrong" , but then you have a load of people saying "I knew it would happen" when they said the opposite in August !
I think I must be reading this wrong because it sounds to me like you wanted Lambert and then changed your mind. You also seem to be saying that no-one else is allowed to change their mind and that nigh on everyone of those people is responsible for the state that the club is currently in.
I'm not quite getting it.

You're going way over board holtelower. Nobody and i mean nobody could have predicted lambert would have been worse than mcleish.
No, you are wrong, holtelower was that guy, he was right, we were all wrong and supporters are not allowed to change their opinions over time and re evaluate with experience to go on.
Just remember, he was right, that is all that matters, so no moaning, you are all not allowed or worthy, because you failed to be the great oracle that is holtelower.
We are truly not worthy

| Of course fans have the right to moan holtelower.
I, like you, didn't share the optimism and from some in this thread got a slightly rough ride (only slightly) but a) I wanted to be wrong b) no problem with those that wanted to be optimistic and believe.
Certainly, I would imagine, it is more of a rude awakening for those who thought we were on for a great or even good season.
Genuinely gutted it has panned out like this, sadly, I can't say there is any surprise.
I was a bit surprised at the optimism but respected those trying.

How dare ANYBODY apart from a couple of fans on here moan - I will just show you something from August, and just one reply I got

But that was at Norwich and a club where he started to build them in Div 1 three years ago and was able to mould them without any pressure.
This is the premier league, the most watched league in the world, a world where these could mow their lawn yesterday and their neighbour wouldn't have a clue who they were to being a premier league footballer today being photographed and CCTV captured picking their nose.
Last week they were playing in front of 1500 against Hartlepool this week they will be playing in front of 52,000 people. Last week they were marking (I dont know, whoever plays for hartlepool) , this week they will be marking Demba Ba and Pappa Cisse. Last week, as last year at Norwich, they were playing with players who know each other, know each others movement, know each others habits. This week they won't even know each others names.
Its not me saying it - every has said it in history , there is nothing wrong with introducing kids, but you can't introduce them all at once and you have to protect them.
We are throwing a bunch of amateurs (and lets face it, they are not much more than that) in against the worlds greatest footballers, and expecting them to float.
Can you imagine, - we lose the next 4 matches - Newcastle, Swansea, Albion and Southampton - very realistic I reckon, and three of those are what you would consider on paper "easier games" what the hell these kids are going to think ? - are they gonna go out there against the next game thinking "I am good enough for this". Who do they turn to then ? , our captain is Darren Bent - that shows what the leadership is like at the club.
I am massively massively worried
Its fecking suicide
FFS,CHILL,WE KNOW IT WILL NOT HAPPEN OVER NIGHT.............16TH OR 6TH. What's the difference except a few quid,10th to 16th ok in my book this year, get over it.......
People on here now blarting on about how we are doomed, and we must act, are the same ones that told me, and a couple of others how great it all was in August, and how they were so glad that we were no longer going to pay big wages for average players.
You all wanted it - you got what you wanted. If it hasn't worked out, you are as much to blame than the manager or owner
Most ridiculous statement I have bet heard on here!!
Who the hell are you to tell me (yes I'm taking it personal as you right in capital letters "anybody" ) how dare I!!!
How dare I!!! I have been near enough every fucking game. Love to see you say this to a few people's faces!!
You complete arsehole!

Villa Park Legend Posts: 2520 Location: Always a brummie, but not there now | Of course fans have a right to change their mind, as I have done with Lambert. However, that is one thing. Aspinal has done that, I have done that - no issues.
But to turn around in August and say "I am glad he is doing this , about time we got rid of average old players" and then saying "we must do something, I knew this is how it would turn out" is another.
And as for the sarcastic post above, forget the sarcasm because I WAS right - look at that one post alone - the "when things start to go wrong who will these kids turn to, who is going to show them how to get out of it"
I saw it, many players and ex managers knew it, ROBBIE SAVAGE knew it, and got absolute vile said about him for it.
But, people wanted it, now if people say "OK, we need to scrap this and just get us out of it" thats one thing.
To them to say they want the board and manager out for doing what they wanted them to do - thats wrong !

| Fans didn't expect someone worse than Warnock.
Fans didn't expect someone worse than McLeish.
Those two things alone no one would have seen coming surely?
| | |
| But what they thought would happen hasn't. Their hopes and dreams of the situation didn't work out. Of course they are going to then revise their opinions.
Don't see the issue. They thought it was right, evidence has shown that it wasn't, hence they adapt their view.
As said, don't see the issue.
I did say in this thread I don't blame the pundits like savage saying we are going down, I had the same fear.
However, if we had finished top ten or above, that wouldn't have made me less of a fan and I would have adapted my opinion.
How is that not understandable?
As if times aren't tough enough, blimey.

| I don't give a shit if i'm wrong about a football manager, so fucking what? Its not my job to be right, its my job to go through the turnstiles at villa park more often than not. That's what I do.
Give me a salary to do something about it and i will sack Lambert tonight and appoint someone better, until then its all just opinion. Nothing more nothing less.

| Everyone's pissed off - fellow Villa fans just nod in acknowledgement of how sad we are nowadays.
Last summers policy seemed crazy yet I prayed I was wrong - God has responded.
I wanted him but he has to go before Tuesday.
