Taxi Driver.

Thought it was awful. How is it so highly rated?!? I like De Niro and I like most cult films from that era, but I just thought this was terrible.

Loved it at the time, not seen it in years and I can't think that it would have dated very well at all.

Yeah, Taxi Driver is one of those ones that is held so highly that when I saw it for the first time (maybe 10 years ago) I just kind of went with it, like "well, they say it's a classic so who am I to judge?".

I think the problem is, it does look now very much of it's time. I've only seen it once. I've only seen the Godather trilogy once too, if that says anything.

War Machine - I'm not sure what to say about it. I had high expectations but it didn't do it for me. Watching it over 2 nights probably didn't help. In the end, it's more about what a farce the war in Afghanistan is than about the main character. Brad Pitt also makes this weird one eyed squint throughout the film.

Netflix went big on this one and I'm not sure it's going to work out for them.

Pork Pie - it's a low budget New Zealand film. It's okay but it seems to be a product placement for Mini just the like Transporter films are for Audi.

Kong- Skull Island

Great movie....if you're a 12 year old. It was entertaining I suppose, and wow! look at the size of him!
