The Big Sick

Film by Kumail Nanjiani who people might know as Dinesh from Silicon Valley.

A kind of autobiographical comedy loosely based on real events in his life.

Pretty good, I've always found him funny so there's some good stuff in there despite some of being a bit sentimental

I watched that last night too.

I was expecting a comedy but it's not. It's based on his real life.

It's good.

We watched The Conjuring 2. Following on the true story of Ed and Lorraine Warren, they travel to Enfield, North London to help a single mother raising 4 children alone in a house plagued by a supernatural spirit.

If you saw the original, you'll enjoy this too.

2 films this weekend

"Love and Mercy"

A biographical movie about Brian Wilson of The Beach Boys starring Paul Dano as young Brian and John Cusack as older Brian. Very good, mad stuff I never knew about. Paul Giamatti is in it too. He's in everything, great actor though.

"Baby Driver"

Movie about a young getaway driver working for a kingpin (Kevin Spacey) Really enjoyed it, pretty high octane stuff at times, very good cast.

The Hitman's Bodyguard looked good in the trailer but it got bad reviews so I wasn't sure whether it was worth watching. I'm glad you posted that, Tubbz. I'll check it out now.
