Random quote: There are known knowns; there are things we know we know. We also know there are known unknowns; that is to say we know there are some things we do not know. But there are also unknown unknowns – the ones we don't know we don't know. (tellamuir)

Absentia starring Catherine Parker, Courtney Bell & Dave Levine.

A woman and her sister begin to link a mysterious tunnel to a series of disappearances, including that of her own husband who briefly reappears after an unexplained seven-year absence.

Good film. Different from your normal creepy film.

Unhallowed Ground starring Ameet Chana, Poppy Drayton & Marcus Griffiths.

A group of privileged students spend a night patrolling the prestigious Dhoultham school. However, it soon turns into the worst night of their lives as they face off against burglars, supernatural spirits and a deeper, darker evil.

Not bad.

American sniper.

Was lent the DVD with a big build up and recommendation. Whilst it was ok, didn't live up to the hype.

True story but I just kept thinking about how the yanks are just as good at killing their allies as their enemies!.

Watched "Steve Jobs" last night and "Legend" tonight

Enjoyed both, Steve Jobs was done in an interesting way, not such a biographical but more in 3 parts, each act being before one his big launches. Interesting character, quite the arsehole too.

Legend was very good, (the one about the Krays not the 80's fantasy movie!). Tom Hardy did a great job portraying both brothers.

Just watched a Swedish supernatural film called Sensoria. In Swedish with English sub titles and starring Lanna Ohlsson, Norah Andersen & Alida Morberg.

Caroline, a woman in her late thirties, has lost everything and is searching for a new beginning. She moves into an old apartment and starts to realize that she is not as alone as she thought she was.

Good film. The atmosphere created by timing and the 'music' soundtrack makes it a very watchable film.

Altered starring Adam Kaufman, Catherine Mangan, Brad William Henke . Sci-fi horror.

Fifteen years ago, a group of men's lives were forever changed by a strange occurrence. Now, the same group of men will spend a night together ... in terror.

Quite good if you like this genre.

Can't wait to see this. I do think Sacha Baron Cohen is a modern day genius when it comes to making audiences laugh and going WAAAY BEYOND the boundries of decency to make his films. In other words the guy has cajones!!!

Yes and in the days of political correctness and everyone seemingly lining up just to be offended, it does take balls!

The Forest starring Natalie Dormer (GOTs), Eoin Macken & Stephanie Vogt.

When her twin sister disappears in Japan, a young American named Sara (Natalie Dormer) becomes determined to find out what happened to her. Sara's investigation leads her to the legendary Aokigahara Forest, located at the base of Mount Fuji.

Excellent creepy film.

The Intruders is a thriller starring Miranda Cosgrove, Donal Logue & Austin Butler.

After the traumatic loss of her mother, a teenaged girl tries to uncover the dark secrets behind her new home, in spite of her father's disbelief.

Again, quite a good film.

The Legend of Barney Thompson

Black comedy with Robert Carlyle, Emma Thompson and Ray Winstone, about a average guy working in a barber shop who suddenly finds himself in the world of a serial killer

Really fits the description "black comedy" very grim but funny too, nothing funnier than angry Scots men!
