I thought Gravity had nothing to offer other than special effects, the story was predictable, the acting was nothing revolutionary and it tried to grip you for the entire duration of the film, big mistake! A film needs to ebb and flow through peaks and troughs, not try and stay on a peak.

The most over hyped movie in a long time, and it will be judged by the course of time, it will not be in top film lists in ten years and will be a forgotten film, much like many other Oscar winning films.

The frozen ground 2013 Nicholas cage. Based on a true story. Very good film. Very similar to 8mm but not so hardcore.

Sad end to the movie where they showed you pictures of the real life characters.

yes, I'd not realised it was based on a true story until the end bit either!

The Place Beyond The Pines - good drama. Excellent performance from Ryan Gosling. A film of 3 very defined acts, suffers through the first part being by far the most interesting part. It's full of interesting themes and ideas about fate, morality, fatherhood etc...but I think it will either prick your interest or just leave you frustrated. Mrs. 4Pope thought it was 'just ok'.

I remember Ryan gosling from Saturday children's TV when he played the young Hercules. Then I watched the notebook with the mrs (which for a bloke is the worst film in the world). At that point I was like omg this gosling bloke is crap.... Then I watched some of his other films and his actually a really good actor. I enjoyed a place beyond the pines too. It was ok for a chick ish flick.

If you watch murder by numbers... He was immense plus it's a bloody brilliant film.

I didn't realise Nick Cage was in that one. Great film though. Is he Olaf?

Anchorman Two.

I just can't believe that anyone finds that funny or that it gets made. It's just bafflingly woeful.
