USA Defender Linked

USA Defender Linked

Oh right. All of a sudden - now the transfer window is shut - reports are saying that David O'Leary will have money to spend in the summer!

Oh well, may just as well report on the link, there is very little else going on, especially on the takeover front. Villa have been linked to USA international defender Oguchi Onyewu.

The 23-year-old, who plays for Belgian team Standard Liege, is also being tracked by Birmingham 'off to the Championship' City, Wigan and Manchester City.

He is expected to be in the USA squad for the World Cup, so any valuation is bound to be affected by how he performs!

Nice to see we've got a link ready for the summer. We can get all excited up until the transfers are possible, then we'll be told there is no money again! ;-)

The transfer window is pointless. What about all the players who will be kicking their heels from January until the summer with no chance of a game, and unable to move?
