O'Leary Has Selection Dilemma's!

O'Leary Has Selection Dilemma's!

Looks like David O'Leary has a very rare luxury. He has a selection dilemma. Yes, that's right, he has a choice of players for one (or in this case two) positions!

The summer's star signing, Milan Baros is most likely to be fit for Saturdays game against Newcastle having sat out the 4-0 thrashing of Middlesbrough last weekend with a 'tight hamstring'.

So does Baros walk straight back into the team? If so, who will O'Leary sacrifice and how de-motivating would it be to be benched if you were Kevin Phillips, who showed his quality throughout the game and scored a fantastic header or Luke Moore who scored a hat-trick?

David O'Leary confirmed: 'Milan only felt some slight tightness. He should be fit for Saturday.'

Meanwhile 19-year-old Luke Moore told the official site that he is aiming for double figures: 'The Premiership is such a hard league to score goals in, especially for strikers - you only have to look at the scoring charts to see not many got into double figures last season. So if I can get into double figures then it means I must be doing something right.'

O'Leary also has a dilemma in midfield as Gavin McCann is serving a one match suspension for picking up five yellow cards and James Milner can't play due to the loan deal between Newcastle and Villa.

Young Craig Gardner and Lee Hendrie seem the obvious choices, although Peter Whittingham has been impressing in the reserves.

Our latest poll is asking who you would play up front on Saturday.

Why play Baros? Given that all of the other options at least have the ability to 'look up' when they are near goal, surely Milan should be left on the bench.

Milan has been quality for large periods this season, especially bearing in mind the fact that our supply to the strikers is often woeful. The old egg about him not looking up hasn't really rung true since he moved to Villa. Bags of potential and a quality player imho. Still wouldn't drop either player from this weekend though.

At Liverpool he was a striker who knew how to finish, but didn't know how to get into position. Cisse is the opposite, he's great at getting into position, but hasn't got a clue how to finish. Perhaps it's just the way he looks, but there is a lazy feel about him.

How much did Cisse cost? Was over £10million wasn't he? Looks awful everytime I've seen him play. Got some good tattoos mind you! Some here say Baros is lazy, but I don't think they see the quality runs he puts in off the ball, not his fault our midfielders don't put the telling ball through to him!
