Small Numbers - Big Hearts

This is more like it. A bit of a moan but then a positive and strong comment as Aston Villa manager David O'Leary says 'although we have small numbers, we have big hearts here'

More comments like that and less knocks at the fans and he'd be a far more popular boss as far as I'm concerned! Seems O'Leary is yet another manager to be 'frustrated' by the way Doug Ellis runs (ruins) the club and was disappointed that Villa couldn't even afford 'a ten bob loan fee for a player.'

For all the spin and bluster from the board, they have once again failed to stump up any decent funds for yet another manager and have left most people connected with the club frustrated and angry. At least this time, with the club in the hands of merchant bank Rothschild's to try to attract possible new owners, the future isn't looking so bleak.

O'Leary said: 'It is very frustrating we haven't been able to afford a ten bob loan fee for a player. But, although we have small numbers, we have big hearts here. It is important to try and keep strong and, whatever is going on in the club, to try and keep it away from the lads.'

He also says despite the fact other clubs have 'stocked up with players at Christmas' the team have a 'togetherness.'

Well, lets hope they 'togetherness' us all the way to Wembley!
