Get On With Your Job O'Leary

Get On With Your Job O'Leary

DAVID O'LEARY. FOR GODS SAKE SAY SOMETHING POSITIVE AND GOOD ABOUT ASTON VILLA OR SLING YOUR HOOK.

Aston Villa manager David O'Leary has claimed that some of the team play better away from Villa Park because of the abuse dished out by their own supporters. 'You need good home support. Fans jump on people's backs very quickly indeed. Some of the stick Jlloyd is getting is uncalled for and is not helping.'

The irony is O'Leary isn't exactly slow at jumping on the fans backs! Most times we score he turns to a chap in the crowd who 'dares' to question his tactics.

This is just yet another whinge and whine at the fans. Yet another in the long line of excuses and once again he is blowing this out of all proportion in relation to the amount of heckling a 'few' fans do. Go to any club in the land and you get the same, a few boo boys. Big deal, I don't agree with booing your own players and would never do it, but the abuse is nowhere near what O'Leary is claiming. Does O'Leary, who rarely if at all says anything positive about Aston Villa or it's fans, really think he is having a positive effect on this great club?

From the 'when I was at Leeds' to the 'honest bunch of lads' to 'we've got fickle fans'. We've been told the reason for our worst start for three decades is down to the pitch, the fans, the chairman, the squad, the injuries, the opposition, the referee, not down to the management though? Get on with your job O'Leary, goodness only knows there is a massive room for improvement. Get us into a respectable position, play some of the attractive and attacking football you claim we play, stop moaning and playing this club down and THEN we might listen to the constant snipes and bitching you come out with in reference to the fans. One minute you are whining on about having no money, the next you are making a total idiot of yourself running across our local rivals pitch to salute the chairman. You came here to prove you weren't a cheque book manager and by the looks of it, you've proved the opposite.

So either get on with what you are paid to do - and improve OR if you don't like it here, sling your hook.
