Injury Blow For O'Leary

Injury Blow For O'Leary

David O'Leary has been dealt another injury blow with the news that Wilfred Bouma could be out for at least another three weeks, if not more.

The Dutch international defender, who suffered knee ligament damage in the 3-3 draw against Fulham, has gone back to Holland to get specialist treatment. Since his arrival at Villa Park for £3.5million from PSV Eindhoven, Shrek's brother has managed only twelve league games.

David O'Leary said: 'It's just a slow process but knee ligaments can take time. As I speak, there's not talk of an operation. Hopefully treatment can still do the trick and he will be in contention for a reserve game at some point, but I don't know when.'
