Loan Star Looking To England.

Midfield whizz kid James Milner is looking to gate crash the England party!

19 year old Milner, who is on a loan from Geordie Land for the season has been a regular in the England U21 set up and now wants to push for a step up.

He says: 'England is an ambition for me, definitely. Everyone wants to play for their country. I'm lucky to have 16-17 caps for the Under-21s which gives you experience. That makes it a bit easier when you step up to the full squad and everyone wants to achieve that honour.'

He also says that his focus is on Villa. Lets hope Villa's focus is on signing him on a permanent basis in the summer, I don't like the idea of being a feeder club for Newcastle - or any other club!

'At the moment I am just concentrating on playing well for Villa and that's the form that gets you into the full squad. Hopefully I can have a good season and it will be great to get a chance with the full squad as well.'

He points at how successful Richardson's loan to the Baggies was last year. The Man Utd player was loaned out to West Bromwich Albion, played well and got called into the England set up by Sven 'I can't believe they are paying me £4million a year' Goran Erickson.

Adding 'I just want to become the best player I can become; play as well as I can and, with playing every week and the players Villa have got, I can become a better player and learn a lot.'

Our defenders especially seem to be cursed. Laursen is a long term injury, Delaney has suffered all season with injuries and is only now getting back into contention, even reserve defender Cahill is having to have an exploratory operation to sort out his ankle injury.
