Baros Pushing To Play

£6million striker Milan Baros is back in training and hoping to be available for Monday nights trip to Manchester City.

Baros has been suffering from an Achilles injury that he picked up in the 8-3 thrashing of Wycome in the Carling Cup and the problem was further hindered when the Czech Republic played him against the wishes of Villa.

Roy Aitken said: 'We've got a little break until Monday and we are very hopeful that between now and then we will have two or three more players back in amongst it including Milan Baros. Baros is into some light training. We will look at him between now and the weekend and see how he is. If he is fine he will push on Saturday and Sunday with a view to the game on Monday.'

I've read he's still out for the game, I'm also testing this because I keep getting logged out on the Swansea site.

Our defenders especially seem to be cursed. Laursen is a long term injury, Delaney has suffered all season with injuries and is only now getting back into contention, even reserve defender Cahill is having to have an exploratory operation to sort out his ankle injury.
