DOL To Recall Whittingham?

Derby boss Phil Brown is waiting to hear whether DOL will recall Whittingham to provide defensive cover as our players keep dropping like flies.

With Bouma, Laursen, Hughes and Cahill injured whilst Samuel plays on with a shoulder injury, our lack of strength in defence, especially in the middle and on the left could be our undoing this season (if that's even possible with our current form!).

Most of the reports about this point to Barry being uncomfortable in defence so he can't be pushed back blah blah they don't watch the Villa do they, and that I quote from Teamtalk:

'Whitttingham, who is most comfortable in the middle of the park'

Definitely proves they don't watch the Villa, or noticeably haven't watched Whittingham at Derby because he's been playing left back.

DOL is quoted as saying:

Honest, hard working bunch of lads, bad pitch, I salute the chairman and don't like fans with an opinion, oh and...

'I may recall Peter. He's done okay at Derby and he gives us that left-footed option.'

I suppose with how weak we are in defence you have to question why Whittingham isn't already back at the Villa, or is DOL bemused by our midfield options?
